Would ovulation test pick up positive pregnancy?

So I had a faint positive at 9dpo today. Decided to retest and in my foggy mind used an ovulation test instead. Now I'm due af on Monday but this is my ovulation test... would it pick up HCG?? Or shall I just discard!

Yes, LH tests can pick up hCG and read as positive if you're pregnant - apparently LH and hCG are fairly similar molecularly.

And would it be darker? This was my pregnancy test. Such a squinter

Yes your ovulation test would be darker, I’d get rid of that one. But I can definitely see something on your pg test!! Eeekkk so exciting! @Harveybelle

Did you test again in the evening? I’m 8/9dpo also, I tested this morning and thought I could see something, but the camera wouldn’t even pick it up, so doubted myself & then this is my test from this evening, it’s definitely getting darker! I have some FRER coming tomorrow🤞🏼🥰

@JasmineZMD I didn't retest last night or this morning. Im going to try and wait for tomorrow if I can! Just don't want to get my hopes up after our loss in January. I'd feel so lucky if we've managed to get a positive so quickly x

That line is definitely looking darker too me! I order the first response tests on Amazon & I think they show great line progression.

But I completely get where you’re coming from with not wanting to get your hopes up, we had a loss at 8 weeks, in January also. So I am so shocked to be possibly pregnant again 🫣

The top is my FRER from yesterday morning, the line is such a squinter you can barely see it & the bottom is the one I have just taken when my new tests came. So line is definitely getting darker 🤞🏼@Harveybelle
