Hormones after miscarriage

Shout out to anyone who has lost a pregnancy - so effed!

Anyway, I am coming up to 3 weeks after I lost a pregnancy at 12 weeks. Bleeding stopped after 11 days and then I had a positive LH on CD14, paired with what I would guess is ovulation spotting and cramping (never experienced before). Then again at CD17&18 (today) I continue to have positive LH tests with HCG tests being negative.

Any idea what’s going on? Has anyone had anything similar? I’ve read I couldn’t ovulate twice in a cycle but this lingering high LH, coupled with other ovulation symptoms is confusing me.
I know things can be out of whack but LH staying high for this long when it was previously high for 1 day max is so odd.

I didn’t ovulation test for a couple of months after my MC as we waited to try again, but my cycle and periods did change. I think it’s very common. Have you had a negative pregnancy test yet?

@Beeplusthree didnt want to read and run. So sorry for your loss. I had a CP so an early loss in feb. My cycle after was ok but ov was delayed by 2 days so overall that cycle was 2 days longer. The second cycle however (current one) I got a positive opk at cd14 (usual for me) but no AF when due and BFN. I didn’t continue OPKs so I’m guessing I too had a second LH peak. Either ovulated late or not at all. It’s a pain and has extended the TWW into a 3 week wait!

I ovulated really late this cycle (my 2nd cycle after loss). I'm now on cycle day 35 and no sign of my period. Pregnancy tests are negative. I think miscarriage just messes your cycle up completely.

Sorry for your loss. To be honest I didn’t check my ovulation the first month after miscarriage/surgery. We ttc that month but only half heartedly. I started testing on month two after a weird very light period. The ovulation tests were fine on month two and three but I still had light periods which is the opposite of my usual. I guess the 5+ weeks of bleeding from the miscarriage and then surgery had something to do with it. It didn’t stop me conceiving a second time though.

I think they're awful but don't believe you can see someone's anus through them!
