2 missed periods, negative tests

Hello all, I hope someone may have some advice.

I’ve already posted about taking ellaone back in March (CD12) after unprotected sex (CD11). Since I took it I have not had a period. My usual cycle is 29-31 days, but I’m now on CD61, with no period symptoms at all - my second missed period is due but hasn't shown up.

I have no pregnancy symptoms either, except that for the past two days I’ve experienced a bit of nausea intermittently. I have however taken 5 pregnancy tests (the latest was yesterday morning) and they have all been negative. Different brands, too, so they can’t all be faulty or a dodgy batch or anything like that.

I’m 38, so potentially could be peri?

I spoke to the GP who said to wait until my period should be due this month, and if it doesn’t arrive then to check back in with them, but obviously I’m kind of worried.

Does anyone have any insights or suggestions? Thank you.

Hi,
could this be a stress reaction. Peri menapause at your age would be uncommon. How are you now? Hope you are doing ok. It’s a lot to contend with when you are unsure what’s happening .
i took Ellaone this month. My period has come early!

Stress can do this. Have you been taking your temp daily? 10 plus days of a temperature jump usually indicates pregnancy.

I don’t temp as I wasn’t ttc and it wasn’t a priority for me. I don’t suppose there’s any way of working out patterns using temps now, is there?

I can’t be pregnant, I’ve had 6 negative tests now. I was chatting to a doctor friend who said it is very unusual for menopause to present as sudden cessation of periods, usually they get irregular first but mine have been so normal until now. The only thing that has changed is the ellaone, which is not supposed to, you know, cancel your period.

It's so weird, and frustrating too.
