Understanding BBT - Opinions?

I’m new to tracking BBT, as you can see I have missed days out but I am now trying to track consistently each day.

During this cycle, I haven’t had any symptoms of ovulation such as EWCM or a positive OPK, I was assuming I hadn’t ovulated and was quite surprised by the arrival of my period. Would you say from the temps that I do have, it’s possible I could have ovulated? (Sorry they aren’t consistent enough)

I’ve just started using fertility friend and i understand I should get crosshairs which I don’t have, I don’t know if this is due to lack of temps.

I have irregular periods (they range from 31 days to 55 but usually around 43 days) and I’m about to have an internal scan to check for PCOS.

Yes I think it’s the lack of temps that make it hard for FF to identify when ovulation occurred.

Taking Charge of your Fertility is a brilliant book and I think it said 3 days higher than previous 5 confirms ovulation (or something). The overall look of the chart would suggest you have ovulated but hard to pinpoint when given the lack of temps

That’s really useful, thanks. I will check that book out.

We have recently started TTC and I’m now understanding the importance of tracking everyday.

It's a pity you didn't take your temperature on the pertinent dates!

I know, I don’t think I realised the importance of daily BBT till I’ve started recently reading up on it. Hopefully they will be more insightful next month!
