Any info on clomid and metformin?

I have been on clomid for 2 months now with no sucsess. I went to see the fertility nurse today and she has give me metformin to start to take in a few days. I have been told to start these tablets as soon as I get them and when AF arives to take clomid 100mg days 2 - 6. I have been told I hace PCOS thats why I need help TTC.
Any info or sucsess stories would be great.
