Anovulatory cycle rant

I had a near perfect cycle this month, in terms of DTD every other day, but no ovulation. I usually have a couple per year and it's just typical that it's been on a month that sex timing has worked out well!

We've been ttc for over two years, I've given us a deadline of September this year to fall pregnant and it just feels like a waste 😩

No real point to this other than a good old moan!

How do you know you didn't ovulate? How are you tracking?

Will be temperature to confirm if ovulation has actually happened.

Could ovulation just be late or is AF with you? I've just had a positive OPK on CD19 - this is the latest it's been in the 2 years I've been TTC this time round! (But then I've also had a lot of stress and sleepless nights this cycle which probably haven't helped). I thought I had an anovulatory cycle the year before last (I wasn't temping at that point) but in retrospect it was probably just a short cycle and I missed my OPK peak...

Sorry @overthinkersanonnymus - that really sucks. As someone who has experienced a lot of anovulatory cycles, it will continue to suck!!!
No real advice, just a hand hold. I’ve been TTC over 2 years too. Our time will come (I hope!).
If you experience this often, it’s def worth seeing if you can do an ovulation induction cycle through nhs or private. For me these have costed around £300 per cycle including scan and meds.

I always used to ovulate around day 19 and it did my head in as I felt like I was wasting basically a week each cycle!! Feels like we spend so much time as teenagers avoiding being pregnant and then life is like ha, sucks to be you!

Does your temp rise at all in an anovulatory cycle? I had a positive opk and temp rose for 2 days and then went down again so now wondering if this has happened to me too!

Back when I was having undiagnosed thyroid issues and annovulatory cycles when TTC DD1 my temps were all over the place - no pattern at all.

Following as I think I’m having my first anovulatory cycle that I know of. Have been tracking BBT for around 13 months and actively trying for 11.

This month I’m on CD25 with no peak LH and no temp rise, if anything it’s lower than ever! I’m not sure if I’ll ovulate really late or if it is just a random anovulatory cycle.

It feels such a waste of a cycle but maybe it’s my body’s way of telling me I needed a break this month, who knows! Either way it’s upsetting we might not get the chance this month, fingers crossed for your BFP!

Has anyone who’s had an anovulatory cycle got a BBT chart they could share from that month?

Does anyone think this looks like an anovulatory cycle? CD30 and no positive LH or temp rise to be seen! Longest cycle prior to this in the last 13 months was 34 days

Potentially...they happen once in a while, and/or late ovulation. Whilst TTC DD2 when my thyroid was under control I still had a random 36 day cycle when I didn't get a positive OPK, then the cycle I eventually conceived her on I ovulated on CD24!!
