I feel really embarrassed asking this, but after you have had sex, how long do you leave it till you get up?

Basically, I have a lot of "leakage" as soon as we're finished, so I feel like all the stuff I need to be at my cervix, just trickles right out! I need to then scoot like a crab to the bathroom for clean up 😳

Even if I stay really still and try and get a good 5-10 minutes laid down, I'm still losing all the baby batter!

Don't worry it's definitely going where it needs to go. Honestly. I had a surprise pull out baby lol so honestly you only need a tiny bit! Xx

I put a tissue ‘there’ straight away to stop leakage mainly because it’s messy. Maybe after like 10 mins I’ll get up and go to the loo.

it’s the kind of thing no one talks about and they don’t show in films!

we had to try pretty hard 😂
I propped hips up on a towelled pillow and put a menstrual cup in pretty much straight away to deal with some of the leakage

TMI alert... I got pregnant after a quickie doggy style and straight in the shower....

I also did the hips tilted, lie on your back for ten minutes thing. Yes some people will get pregnant from just looking at a penis, but I wanted as many millions of them in there as possible.

I'm probably being thick, but are you ensuring that you 'come' after he has ejaculated?

Apart from The Big Lebowski where Maude clutches her knees to her chest and rolls around on the rug. 😂

Pillow under the hips, legs up in the air against the headboard for about 10 mins. My DH thought I was a bit bonkers but i figured if it helped chances even a tiny bit it was worth it.

Please help, anyone had experience with pink dye test doing this? Did another straight after, was negative but could possibly be not enough hormone to pick it up so soon?

Edited

They don't look like a clear line to me so possibly an escape line rather then a positive.

I suggest you start your own thread though!

My biology teacher told us a story that her friends had been trying for years no success. She advised that the woman lay on her front and that the angle of flow was better that way and she got pregnant a few weeks later. No idea how true it is but I thought that was interesting. Considering we are mammals and most mammals do doggie style I suppose it could make sense that that is optimum position but I'm sure someone might current me. Any fertility doctors in!?

Read that what leaks is out is often dead sperm and liquid. Even if live sperm flow out too, plenty will end up where they need to. You could just tilt your pelvis up for a few minutes maybe.

I'm glad my thread wasn't removed for being too gross 😂

I really don’t think it matters. I always get up fast to wee as I’ve had some awful UTIs before, and I’ve had two pregnancies

You also need try and orgasm after he ejaculates as the contractions pull the sperm on the right direction

Ok so I tried to wait and hold as much as I can in yesterday, about 15 minutes, and I've woken up with horrible cystitis 😩😩

Really pissed off about it because I'm due to ovulate tomorrow, so can't dtd today.

Bloody typical!

Oh no! Exactly why I prioritise toilet over lying down.

I wait an hour each time with legs up

From everything I’ve read it doesn’t actually have any scientific research behind it - it’s more important to pee after sex to avoid UTI’s. A minute or two probably wont increase UTI risk too much if you are really wanting to wait, but as someone else said, usually the leakage is just the “extra”, the fluid that houses the sperm rather than the sperm itself. Menstrual cups, legs up etc can work for some of course, but it’s more likely random chance than a link. Hope you get your BPF soon!

People get pregnant even from rape so it’s not necessary to lie around afterwards and nor does the position matter. Orgasm
helps but also not necessary to conceive.

I’ve been pregnant 8 times (2 kids and lots
of mcs) and as I suffer from chronic utis I’ve always gone for a wee straight after sex, and for quite a few of them im
sure I didn’t orgasm either as was too stressed by the ttc process!
