Two week wait anyone?

Anyone else currently in TWW? I’m 4dpo and anxiously waiting until I can test.

I am currently trying to conceive my 3rd baby. I have 2 girls who are 6 and 8. And I’m desperately hoping they to see a positive test
My periods have been very irregular for the past year or so. But got a positive ovulation test on Sunday morning and have done BD with hubby last Wed, Saturday night and Monday night.
🤞🤞

Im also anxious because as ridiculous as it sounds I’ve had 2 online readings from 2 different psychics last month, one said I would conceive in November and give birth in August and one said September and December would be important months. Now I can’t get it out of my head that I won’t convince until the end of the year (if that even happens) 🙈🙈

I had no problems conceiving my first two girls 6 and 8 years ago, happen on first try both times so I am desperately hoping it will be the same this time. I am 30 now so still young.

sorry for the long read! X

I genuinely don’t feel any different at all, which of course is making me extremely anxious because of my recurrent miscarriages. But I just did another test and the line is clearer, so definitely pregnant, for now anyway. Fingers crossed it sticks.

Huge luck to you @AG1993 , and everyone waiting to test. ❤️

Congrats!!! Gives me hope for being a greedy little pig the past couple of days! Big fat hugs for you ❤️❤️❤️

Congrats @deliwoman1 !!

Sorry if I’ve missed it but are you on treatment for the mcs? Fingers crossed for you this time.

deliwoman1 · 18/04/2024 09:16

@JumpinJellyfish I take 400mg of progesterone once daily in a suppository, but that’s once I’ve got a bfp. It’s one reason I test early. Other than that I haven’t been offered anything, but I’ve never gone private. I guess nhs blood tests for clotting disorders came back normal, and at least at the time I didn’t have a thyroid issue. The last MC I had was anovulatory, and that’s a chance thing to do with a crap egg, I think. It’s very hard to accept but it may have all just been very bad luck in my case, and age-related because I was 38 at the time of trying for my first, and now I’m 41. One of my MCs was an ectopic, which is also a chance thing so they said. 😕

JumpinJellyfish · 18/04/2024 09:28

I see @deliwoman1. Since they’ve all been different and you are a little older it does sound like it’s just been rotten bad luck, but that’s great because every chance this one will work out!

@deliwoman1 this is amazing update. How exciting ! Maybe it's a lucky thread.
No sore boobs or anything ?

Optimistic66 · 18/04/2024 10:14

10dpo - tested yesterday and nothing BFN - so going trying to protect my heart and not test now until Monday now. I'm due saturday or Monday (12dpo or 14dpo) so lets see.

My boobs are hurting but dont really know if its just all the poking but nothing else really other than that.

@Elisabeth3468 - completely get this sentiment - 8DPO is still so early and i feel like the earliest i see positive are 9DPO.

@AG1993 / @deliwoman1 - ahh thats so frustrating for you both - Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit more obvious and give you a clearer positive. Your HCG doubles daily so even if you had anegative blood test yday - could just be too low.

Congrats - sorry i replied before i read further down the chain!!! Good to see a positive!! Hope its a sticky one.

What were your symptoms?

deliwoman1 · 18/04/2024 10:43

Thanks, ladies! Trying to stay positive. Even if the worst happens, at least I'm not peri-menopausal!

@Elisabeth3468 @Optimistic66, genuinely no obvious symptoms. No sore boobs, no increase in CM, nothing. I was super hungry yesterday but that's it, and I've never had that this early before, so probably unrelated. I found a pic of my 10dpo positive (same type of test) with DD though, and the line was brighter. I got 2-3 weeks on a clearblue by 14dpo with her. But I'm trying not to let that faze me today.

deliwoman1 · 18/04/2024 10:45

@Optimistic66, I will have my fingers crossed for you. ❤Protecting yourself is really important. I test early because of the progesterone, but I wish I could be stronger and wait until things should be conclusive. It's so hard to see those negatives.

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 18/04/2024 11:51

So
I caved today (8dpo, so, very very early I know but I just can't help myself 🙈) and tested with an early response. I don't think I can see anything looking at it, but when I hold my torch up against it from the back I can sorta see a little something? Just going to tell myself it's an indent until I get a proper answer either way 😶

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 18/04/2024 11:52

Also it's been lovely seeing the positives on this thread! Congrats ladies, 🤞🏻 for sticky babies! 💖

AG1993 · 18/04/2024 12:17

@deliwoman1 oh my god a huge congrats to you, I hope it goes well for you, get us updated xxxx

Will you test tomorrow? I'm planning to use a FRER tomorrow on 9dpo! Used a cheap one today and maybe I see a line but also I think my eyes are just wanting me to see one, did not think I'd become this obsessed with pregnancy tests!

It was only a cheap own brand one I used too as I felt like I would've been testing over and over again, so didn't want to jump straight into the hard-to-get FR 🤣 that's exactly my worry too, I feel like I'm setting myself up for disappointment 😩 I think I'll definitely be testing again in the morning. I have no idea when my period is even due as my cycle has really messed me around last month! It's so easy to get wrapped up in it isn't it 🙈 wishing you all the luck!

TaliatheBard · 18/04/2024 12:41

@deliwoman1 Congratulations! Super happy for you.

Ah I don't know, I just asked my husband (who usually cannot see things right in front of him!) and he says that he can see it (I know it's over the time frame but really does look the exact same), but not to read too much into it until I can retest. Which is completely fair and logical. Think I will definitely definitely be doing another tomorrow 🤞🏻

JumpinJellyfish · 18/04/2024 13:03

@2BabyOrNot2Baby are you sure when you ovulated? I thought it was impossible to test positive at 8dpo (unless you actually ovulated earlier so aren’t really 8dpo!).

Tentative fingers crossed for you!

Ive been feeling a bit crampy and have been prodding my nipples until they hurt but overall trying hard not to get my hopes up. I think I am 8dpo today and definitely not testing until the weekend.

AG1993 · 18/04/2024 13:04

@2BabyOrNot2Baby I am in the same boat I have no idea when my period is due really, my last one was messed up last month too. A normal 7 day period turned into a sporadic week and a half period, sometimes I wonder if I bring it on myself by obsessing about it x

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 18/04/2024 13:18

My periods have been really weird. I've come off the pill end of Nov/start of Dec, had nothing all throughout December, it finally showed up Jan 8-12, then Feb 9-15 so had me believing I was getting into something regular and then nothing until March 16-21. I couldn't find my peak at all throughout March so I more or less gave up with the month.

This is the first month I've felt something around those dates in the pic also.

Edited to add: wow, picture quality really does get butchered upon upload 😅

Also, we didn't manage to BD on CD25 so I was testing a lot to make sure it was still there so we could CD26 😅😅 (yes I'm very anxious by nature 🤣)

Girls when do you think it would have ovulated going by this? They were all faint again from Wednesday onwards, and all faint before Monday. Monday morning was when I got the first strong line

I would say Monday! Your surge could have started Sunday evening late! and then finished Monday pm!

MaybeBaby2024 · 18/04/2024 13:51

@Aisling1010 Hard to tell because they’re dried out. Sorry I’m not much help I find the strips so difficult to read lol.
I would guess ovulation day was Tuesday?
