Hi
I’ve bought some cheap ones off Amazon but not sure if I’m using correctly as last months didn’t get any dark lines . My periods have been coming three weeks apart and I think I may be missing ovulation. What’s the soonest I can test after a period and is it possible to ovulate right after a period ? Also it says not to test first wee bit also not to drink lots but I drink 3 mugs of coffee in the morning so if I test at 12 would this dilute the test ? Thanks in advance if anyone can help me !

You can test whenever you want really. A lot of people start testing around CD5, personally I just bought a big box of easy@home ones and I tested every single day so I got a full picture of how it looked for the month.

I would just test with second wee of the day, when the lines start getting darker you can then start testing twice a day to catch the peak.

Thankyou . I will start testing now as my cycle is just so short I think i must ovulate super early .

I also tested every day as soon as my period finished, and used the PreMom app to help me work out which were darker lines than others, if I got a 0.6 or above with my second wee of the day, I did another test in the afternoon.

Another vote for the easy at home tests and the app pre mom that they suggest
They give a suggestion of when to start testing based on the length of your cycle too but as pp said you can start whenever
the app helps you quantify rather than trying to tell by eye
Got mine on amazon for £15, 50 ovulation tests and pregnancy ones (maybe 20, I don’t remember exactly!)
Good luck OP

Thanks for your help ! I’m not having much luck so far , is it normal to get no line whatsoever? I read there’s always some of the hormone present so should at least be a very faint line .

No it is totally possible to get no second line if levels are particularly low when you do the test, I’ve had a couple like that when I was tracking before falling pregnant x
