Trying to work out ovulation

It’s my first month using the easy@home sticks. Both Flo and Premom are saying (based on period tracking) that I’m in my fertile window and should ovulate Monday, but these look sooo low 🥴 so surely it will be later than that. Don’t know if it’s even worth DTD with these results?

Premom now saying to test twice a day but I know you shouldn’t use first wee. What does everyone else do? Midday and evening?

Worried it’s so low I’m not even going to ovulate but probably overthinking 🤦🏼‍♀️

Do you have short cycles, OP?

If not, judging by your LH results and cycle days, I'd say you're probably a way off ovulation yet. That said, some people do have lower amounts of LH naturally, so it's worth continuing to test.

I test in the morning because it suits me, and when I start to get additional symptoms (EWCM, increased libido) I make sure to test in the evening too. I've never worried about levels based on time of day because it's always clear to me when it's on the horizon, so I'm just checking to confirm if that makes sense. Have you had any symptoms? The tests are cheap, so if you really want to be sure you don't miss your peak, test am, lunchtime, and before you go to bed.

The apps are just guessing, so don't worry about that. LH and symptoms combined will give you a much clearer picture.

Thanks for replying! They are usually 26-27 days and period lasts for 3... is that short? I'm trying to get my head around all of this and worry if it's more hassle than it's worth.

You're right it looks way off and DTD is starting to become a bit of a chore so we might wait a few days.

I'll start logging EWCM too.

Thank you!

I had really low ones last month then all of a sudden on CD15 it went sky high and stayed high until CD 16. Im on CD 13 this month and very low so expecting it to rocket soon as iv had EWCM

Thanks @Xxfifixx89 that's really reassuring - I'll just do all of the tests 😂😂😂

what cycle day are you testing? For the first month you could test everyday to get a clearer picture and then once you have an idea for the next month test around the window you’ve previously identified.

I have a 28-28 day cycle and should ovulate on day 14- 15 based off that ‘norm’ but have been tracking with sticks and my body symptoms such ECWM and libido all point to ovulating on day 17.

so yours might be a little earlier/ or later than when you are being told what your norm should be

Rosesanddaisies1 · 11/04/2024 14:53

It helps to track every day at the start but CD8 would be very early to ovulate. I never got a “peak” reading, just started sex from when the tests started to get darker

MelonSmoothie · 11/04/2024 15:50

Thanks everyone, I'll just keep testing.

The main reason I'm so angsty is because my husband is away til weds so really hoping I don't ovulate Monday!!
