False positive?

So I’ve been TTC for 2 years now, I’ve had 3 CPs, 1 MMC and 1 ectopic on my section scar. I had a CP last month so I decided to skip this month. Haven’t even been tracking my ovulation this month, but normally I get ovulation cramps so I know when it’s happening anyway. I’ve had no cramps this month. I’m CD25 and I’d normally ovulate between CD 15 and CD 20. Me and my partner DTD 11 days ago so I’d have been CD14, but like I said we weren’t trying this month so I didn’t think anything of it. I ordered some wondfo tests today just to have them in the house and I’ve had 4 faint positives.. I even dipped one in water to check and it was super negative. I’m just so confused as to what’s happening as I’ve been using wondfo for months and never has an issue, I’ve actually found wondfo and Superdrug early to pick up positives before any other brands, I’m gonna try to run to Superdrug in the morning to grab some tests. I’m just confused as to what’s happening bc normally I know exactly how many DPO I am and I normally symptom spot. Here’s a pic of one of the tests, it’s also much pinker in person.

I don't understand these tests, where is the positive line supposed to be? If it's that thick red one, that's really strong.

JNicko · 05/04/2024 20:09

I think that could be an early positive

Awaywiththeferries123 · 05/04/2024 20:10

I’m sorry you’ve had such a hard time. I can definitely see something. Wait a couple of days and try again.

CreditKarm · 05/04/2024 20:10

If you've not even really tired this month why are you testing early? Or at all?

Jess1997 · 05/04/2024 20:12

@CreditKarm because I ordered tests and they came today and I just took one out of curiosity not thinking much of it, I wasn’t for one second actually expecting to see anything

Are you the pregnancy test police? If the woman wants to test let her test! What is it to you? Jeez, this board tonight!

MaisieMacabe · 05/04/2024 20:15

Tomorrow maybe get one of those clear blue ones with the window, I think they're supposed to be reliable. When's your period due?
Good luck!

Jess1997 · 05/04/2024 20:20

@MaisieMacabe clear blue suck in my opinion, well for early testing anyway! I do have a digital in my bathroom but it’s not an early one so it’ll be negative even if I am pregnant. According to my app it’s due in a week but I didn’t track my LH this month and I have really messed up cycles that can be between 26 and 32 days so my period all depends on what date I ovulate. And if I did ovulate early this month my period would be due in a few days

MaisieMacabe · 05/04/2024 20:22

Right. Someone upthread thinks it's an early positive, so fingers crossed.

Why are you commenting if you can't be polite?

JNicko · 05/04/2024 20:28

@Awaywiththeferries123 agreed! Just no need to be rude.

CreditKarm · 05/04/2024 21:13

How is it rude? If she's not trying and not expecting then save the tests and see if she's late.

She's just upsetting herself.

Jess1997 · 05/04/2024 21:50

@CreditKarm i thought it was pretty rude too, I’m asking for advice on it being a false positive or not, not advice on if I should test or not. It was a 20 pack of tests so I’m not massively worried about wasting any. And if you read my post I’ve had 5 MC in the space of 2 years, so on the grand scale of things a false positive isn’t too upsetting 😊

I can see the faintest hint of a line at the bottom of the test. Can you post photos of the others?

Newpancake92 · 05/04/2024 21:58

I think it's an early positive 🤞

Jess1997 · 05/04/2024 22:10

@supercalafragilisticexpealidocious no sorry I binned them after 10 mins!

Thought I’d have better answers today lol. The wondfo have actually got darker, I went and bought a super drug early and I swear there’s a line but it won’t show up on camera

It looks like a faint positive for sure but I know they can have indents as I have seen some on TikTok ladies xxx it should get darker every day if it’s really positive x

mumofone1111 · 06/04/2024 20:07

Looks like early positives to me 🤞🏻 I always found first response early to be the best - easiest to tell and actual line and see progression easier too :)
Good luck!!!

Jess1997 · 06/04/2024 20:08

@mumofone1111 my local boots haven’t had first response in MONTHS! Just ordered some more Amazon ones that’ll arrive on Monday. I do have a CB digital but it’s not an early one so I know it’ll be negative

OP posts:
mumofone1111 · 06/04/2024 20:10

Yeah I haven't seen them in shops for ages. Usually next day for my Amazon so that's annoying but I've personally always found them best x

I'm sure I can see a line too 🤞 !

SunshineAndRainbows6 · 06/04/2024 20:42

@Jess1997 I really feel like I can see lines on both your tests.... they are vvvfl's BUT they look the same thickness as the test line and they are pink so that's all good signs 🙏🏼 Sending so much luck and baby dust your way 🤞🏻 (I had a MMC last year and a ruptured ectopic at the beginning of this year so I know how you feel 🙏🏼)

Please keep us updated 😚✨ 🌈

Jess1997 · 06/04/2024 20:48

@SunshineAndRainbows6 not gonna lie I’ve done about 10 of them in the past 2 days and they’ve all been faint positive(they’re also much clearer in person) but I keep telling myself it’s a faulty batch! However I’ve dipped 2 in water and they’ve both been BFN! im so sorry to hear about your losses too! How far along were you with the MMC if you don’t mind me asking

Bless you! That all sounds super promising 🙏🏼 I pray this ones a sticky bean for you 🤞🏻😚🌈

Thank you! We are second month back TTC, in my 2WW now and dying to start testing 🤭😂 So we booked in for a 9 week scan with our DS to tell him the exciting news (He's 5 now) and got told there that they couldn't find a heartbeat 😔 Baby had stopped growing at 8ish weeks they reckon, I was booked in shortly after for a D&C at the hospital... It sucked so much as we had no idea, I had no blood, no cramps I was sooooo sick all the time, kept up that way until I had my surgery 😭 Then had the ruptured ectopic 2 months later 😞 Had my right tube removed, so it's been a whirlwind but we are hoping 3rd time lucky 🍀 I'm so sorry to hear about your losses too 🙏🏼🩷
