CoQ10

Hi all, I have been reading It starts with the egg and realise the importance of CoQ10. I read Ubiquinol is better than Ubiquinone so I ordered 100mg of Ubiquinol in a capsule with oil rather than 200 mg of Ubiquinone which is also in a capsule with oil. I read that in oil it is more absorbant.

I also see however that Ovum do a fertility supplement that has 200mg of CoQ10, that they say is absorbant, as well as some antioxidants which looks pretty good. However I’m not sure if this is the right CoQ10 to take because it doesn’t say Ubiquinol and is not in oil or whether I’m better off taking Ubiquinol separately??

Ubiquinol is active form of coq-10. So keep taking Ubiquinol.

Apparently it doesn't matter whether you use ubiquinol or ubiquinone. Your body will change is between the two forms as needed.
Ubiquinol oxidises easily into ubiquinone and it'll often already be oxidised by the time it gets to you in capsules. Ubiquinol should be a milky white, ubiquinone is clear yellow.

Thank you very much. Do you know the maximum I can take? I’m thinking if taking CoQ10 in ubiquinol form (100mg) and then as part of the Ovum supplement which is 200mg I assume in uniquinone form. Is that too much?
