Feeling a bit sad as started spotting today and AF due tomorrow so that's me out.

On to the next chance I guess. I was in a bit of a panic this cycle anyway as I used CB ovulation tests for the first time and didn't get any flashing smileys at all so I'm worried something is up and I didn't ovulate at all.

Thinking of trying the easy@home ones now after seeing them mentioned here.

Anyone else just starting AF?

Brookes19 · 02/04/2024 14:48

Hi op sorry you are feeling sad. I havent started AF yet but its due Thursday and had BFN for the last two days.. I can feel it looming and I'm feeling rubbish too 😪 wishing you luck in the next cycle x

Anonxo · 02/04/2024 15:30

Hey @MelonSmoothie Sorry to hear about that, I use easy@home strips as I find it's a little easier to see the peaks and progression that way. @Brookes19 Same position as you due Friday though and BFNs up until now so just waiting for the next one now.

MelonSmoothie · 02/04/2024 15:31

Hi both ☺️

Thanks for the replies it's all consuming isn't it. That's good on the Easy @ Home strips, just need to get AF out of the way and I can crack on!

How long have you guys been trying?

OP posts:
Brookes19 · 02/04/2024 15:45

I only came off the pill at the end of last year and got pregnant first cycle which was amazing. But ended in a MMC at 11 weeks in Feb. So really this is my first proper cycle since then. I know its very early days and I feel bad moaning when people try for so long. but I'm just so desperate to be pregnant again and seeing BFNs is just a reminder that I am not any more 😢

How long have you been trying?

MelonSmoothie · 02/04/2024 16:00

@Brookes19 I'm so sorry to hear that, that must have been so upsetting. How are you coping?

I'm the same in that I feel bad moaning as I really haven't had a bad ride at all, especially considering some of the experiences on here.

I'm only on cycle 4 so not long but I'm becoming a bit obsessed especially after the ovulation tests basically saying I didn't ovulate. I'm 37 as well so now thinking have we left it too late. I have a 5 year old already which I know I'm so lucky to have but they keep asking why their friends have siblings and they don't and I'm just really hoping we are able to...

OP posts:
Anonxo · 02/04/2024 16:11

Hey I'm the same only been 2 months so I really shouldn't complain but it takes up your entire life doesn't it and I guess I've always thought it would be a bit more instantaneous (Very delusional of me). It's just very hard to get it out of my mind. Finding this site has been amazing as it just gives a space where people get it and I don't need to bring it up in my real life.

@Brookes19 Sorry to hear what happened, It is super hard to deal with hopefully you'll be seeing that BFP soon and @MelonSmoothie Hope your 5yr old gets a sibling soon I think being able to vent (even when people have it worse) just helps you stay sain and not bring the stress into your real life.

MelonSmoothie · 02/04/2024 16:15

That's exactly it @Anonxo it takes over everything! If I don't get lucky this cycle I might leave the ovulation testing for a few months as it definitely stressed me out loads.

So good to have somewhere to vent - I told my husband AF was coming and he didn't seem bothered at all. He really wants another one but seems to be able to not be fussed at when it happens or any of the "planning"..

Hi, can I join please?
AF due Thursday, but tested yesterday and negative. Crampy and want to eat everything, so I’m sure AF is on its way.

I used the Clearblue digital tests last month and got no static smilies at all, just 2 flashing ones towards the end of my cycle. I used the easy@home this month with the app and found them much much easier.

MelonSmoothie · 02/04/2024 17:04

Hi @Cakeisafoodgroup welcome ☺️ sorry to hear it's not your month either.

Interesting on CB, that actually makes me feel better - looking forward to getting AF out the way so I can start trying the other ones.

Have you been trying for long?

OP posts:
Cakeisafoodgroup · 02/04/2024 18:10

@MelonSmoothie This is cycle 4, but it feels like longer!
I have 2 DC already from a previous marriage - DC1 took almost a year of actively trying and DC2 was a huge shock whilst on contraception - the youngest is now 7.
Like you the Clearblue tests really worried me last month, I was convinced I wasn’t ovulating. In actual fact the easy@home tests showed I have a very sudden peak, which is apparently a variation of normal, and I think I just missed it with Clearblue.

MelonSmoothie · 02/04/2024 18:31

It drags doesn't it @Cakeisafoodgroup . You have made me feel so much better about the CB ovulation tests so thank you.

What I hate about being so obsessed with TTC is that I'm almost wishing time away wanting to get to the next ovulation window / through the TWW. You only live once and I shouldn't be wanting to rush it 😫

TTC1990 · 02/04/2024 21:59

Hi there just jumping on to share a similar experience! I used CB opks last cycle and only got flashing smilies, never a static one. I’m now CD13 of a new cycle, and just starting using easy@home OPK’s and inputting them in to the Pre Mom app. I’m finding them easier so far as it’s nice to see a progression!

I’m 34 and have a son already but understand the feeling of wanting to give them a sibling. Wishing you the best of luck! X

Cakeisafoodgroup · 03/04/2024 08:31

BFN again this morning. I don’t know why I texted, think I just like peeing on my money!

I’d just like AF to start now. I know what everyone means about the wishing the time away - it’s hard not to but it’s not a great way to live!

Brookes19 · 03/04/2024 08:48

Another BFN for me too! But I know I will keep testing until AF arrives. I'm the same wishing time away which isn't good. It just consumes everything doesn't it x

MrBigsCat · 03/04/2024 19:53

Day 2 here
cycle 11 now and I’m 39
I use the wondfo opks and get on quite good with them

MelonSmoothie · 04/04/2024 16:45

Peeing on money, isn't that so true 😂

This AF is a particularly nasty one which makes me feel even more grumpy. I'm in such a bad mood.

Has AF arrived @Cakeisafoodgroup

Did you test again today @Brookes19?

Haven't heard of Wondo OPKs @MrBigsCat.. I'm on CD2 as well. Are you trying for your first?

Hope everyone is feeling ok x

OP posts:
Brookes19 · 04/04/2024 17:06

@MelonSmoothie yes tested again, still BFN, still no AF 😩

Anonxo · 04/04/2024 18:48

@MrBigsCat I’ve heard that brand is quite good as well. If it’s not too invasive have you been to a gp yet?

@MelonSmoothie defo understand the extra grumpy feeling Af 1 day away and I’m already really irritated 🙃

MelonSmoothie · 04/04/2024 19:36

Sorry @Brookes19 ☹️

Eughhhhhh @Anonxo I know it's horrible isn't it, sorry you're in the same boat. My husband doesn't get it at all either and keeps asking what's up so just blaming it on AF cramps 🙄

OP posts:
Shortcake06 · 04/04/2024 20:04

Hello
i wonder if I could join? I’ve been on a thread for a couple of months and enjoyed the company 😊
I’ve read everyone’s posts and think I have a lot in common with some of the posters.

Im 34, ttc number 2. I have a beautiful 4 year old.
I fell pregnant last summer and was blindsided by a miscarriage at just over 6 weeks. I’m now month 7 TTC since the miscarriage. Getting my period this month was very upsetting because it was my last chance to get pregnant before my due date of the miscarriage. I feel like I’m losing my mind and that it will never happen.

Im now CD7 and due to ovulate around day 16/17. I’ve been using wondfo ovulation strips and the premom app. Hoping to have sex every 2nd day this month throughout my cycle as I’m worried I’m missing the window.

Marie1990x · 04/04/2024 20:22

Hi all, please can I join?

AF is due tomorrow as I had a very late ovulation last month. Although she’s not here yet I definitely know I’m out as I didn’t O the usually time and when I got my peak we never DTD so just awaiting her arrival.

Been trying for #2 for around 8 months now. My cycles have started playing up a bit so I’m not too confident it will happen, but here’s hoping.

Cakeisafoodgroup · 04/04/2024 20:30

I’m so sorry to hear about your miscarriage @Shortcake06. Mentally those milestone dates can be so tough 💐

AF arrived with a vengeance today @MelonSmoothie, also a particularly horrible one so joining you in grumpiness! Cramp and backache was so bad earlier I had to lie on the sofa for half an hour.

MelonSmoothie · 05/04/2024 15:13

Hey everyone..

Really sorry to hear about your loss @Shortcake06.. that must have been such a difficult milestone. I've downloaded the premom app and looking forward to getting cracking this cycle. Do you guys use them twice a day?

Hey @Marie1990x got everything crossed for you!

I'm a bit worried we will miss the window this cycle as my husband goes away for a week the day before Flo app thinks I'm going to ovulate 😫

OP posts:
Shortcake06 · 05/04/2024 19:32

Hi @Marie1990x we are in a fairly similar situation. TTC no 2 for 7 months here now. How old is your little one? I get asked a lot when we will have a sibling for our child which is very annoying!
Thank you for the message @Cakeisafoodgroup, the milestone isn’t one I thought I’d pass. Also I love your user name! Sorry about your period, allow yourself to rest and put your feet up.
@MelonSmoothie thank you for your message 🙏 I tend to do them once a day until I am getting close to o then I do them more. I can normally see the line starting to increase in colour around day 15 before peaking on day 16. I like that premom just reads them for you and makes it a bit easier .

Marie1990x · 06/04/2024 08:32

@Shortcake06 my daughter is 2.
I’ve just read your previous post, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, hoping your rainbow happens very soon for you 🤞🏻.
Ahhh yes it is so frustrating when people ask when you’ll have another! We’re getting it quite a lot at the moment.
I’m also 34 so now feeling the pressure more before my chances run out
