Pregnancy after early miscarriage

Hi everyone,
Had an early miscarriage at 5 weeks last month (already have a 2yo). I’ve conceived again in the following cycle so only bleed was the miscarriage. As such, I’m unsure of dates and wasn’t tracking ovulation.
My test is currently looking like this and has progressed since my first squinter on Thursday evening last week.
Questions:

  1. do people get dark lines on these cheaper tests? Would I reassure myself with a First Response?
  2. how have you alleviated anxiety after a chemical/early loss? It’s consuming me. No signs to say anything is wrong yet but I can’t shake it.

Im not too sure about the darkness of lines but you have given me some hope! I am 6dpo after a early mc (4.5 weeks) on 11 March. Haven't had AF yet but tracked my ovulation afterwards and DTD around then. I am hoping I have the same outcome as you! Congrats :)

@Sarahk89 I’m so sorry for your loss but pleased I’ve given you some hope! Good luck with the TWW x

Sorry I can't answer specifically on tests but I conceived my daughter the first cycle after a miscarriage and she is now a very healthy and happy 6 month old. I also had a 2yo when I conceived.

I was convinced I had ovulated on a certain day but all my scans suggested it was earlier than I thought she ended up coming at 37 weeks - so I was probably wrong!

My best advice is to take each week at a time and I found I became more reassured at each milestone (e.g. 12 week scan, 2nd trimester, 20 week scan etc).

Wishing you all the best!

Thanks @AnotherEllie - have been trying to take each little day as a milestone. Sadly, today’s test looks lighter than yesterday’s and having been through the same last month, I feel like I know how this goes.

Not sure why I continued testing this time. Know you get to a point of just waiting for the bleeding to come. Just feel so sad and deflated to have experienced this twice in consecutive months. Really believed the pain of last month will have been worth it to conceive so quickly again with a rainbow baby. But doesn’t look like it was meant to be :( x
