Nausea one week before missed period?

I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced nausea a week before being able to test? I have had quite bad nausea the last few afternoons but based on my rough calculations I can't test for another week. I've not been tracking my cycle properly as we have only recently said we would be open to having a second baby. DS is 18 months old. I feel like this nausea feeling is familiar but it certainly didn't start this early last time. Also we have only dtd once this month which was 7 days ago. Roughly mid cycle but can't be exactly sure. Just looking for other people's experiences... could it be a symptom this early on ?

I’ve been wondering the exact same! I’ve been nauseated very mildly for the last three days and so tired - currently 9DPO, cycles average 26 days and Natural Cycles think period due Friday. Tempted to test as apparently the Clear Blue Early Detection pick up four days before period with 96% accuracy. Will let you know how I get on!

I get nausea around ovulation and probably from about a week before my AF. I was also so confused by all this. Apparently rising progesterone in the luteal phase can cause nausea, not sure why it happens around ovulation though!

@LeCreusetLove oh yes please let me know how you get on! I'm going to try and wait until Friday to test. I think that should be around the time AF is due to arrive. So if nothing by Friday, I will test. It's so unlikely to be a positive for me, but not impossible. Good luck to you!

@Fairy0708 yes I've read this, but as I've never had this nausea before (except in my previous pregnancy) it seems so strange. However I just think it's too early to be a pregnancy symptom?

How did you get on @LeCreusetLove ? I caved today and did a clear and simple early detection test. BFN. It's only 10 days since dtd so probably too early, but I had convinced myself it could be positive. The mind plays tricks on us doesn't it! I've had lots of symptoms but could just all be in my head!

Hi @Redapple21 thank you for checking in! So I tested today as I really didn’t believe NC period prediction of Friday and all other period calculators said I was due today so when AF hasn’t arrived I tested… and got a positive result (one to two weeks)! I’m so shocked - first cycle trying for first baby. Praying it sticks!

Really hope you get a positive - when will you retest? As you say, today may have just been too early to know!

Oh wow congratulations @LeCreusetLove that's brilliant news !! Really pleased you got your positive!
I will test again on Saturday as I think that's around the time AF due. If anything this has made me realise I really want a positive result and am ready for baby number 2, so will start trying properly next month if this month is BFN. Sending lots of good luck to you for your first pregnancy xx
