Lost my twins at 29 weeks in November. One little boy was stillborn and his little twin passed away in our arms four days later after a hard fight. They were beautiful, perfect little boys and our home is empty without them.

Now 1dpo and hoping for our rainbow. Thought a specific group like this might be helpful and supportive for those who have experienced late loss or neonatal death.

I'm hopeful for this month. I'm a little more relaxed. Last few months were grief ridden and I was obsessive. I've started accupuncture and did the smep method.

Hello, I am so so sorry for your loss.
I am 4 DPO. I had a MMC in February - this is my first attempt to TTC as I have had my period.
Can I ask what is the smep method?

It's basically dtd every two days after your period and then everyday during fertile either breaks in between. There's a very specific method but I do every otherdsy and all through my fertile period. Very sorry for your loss. How many weeks were you? Its a tough journey.

It’s such a horrible journey isn’t it. We had been TTC for two years before we caught. I was 7 weeks, but we found at 9 weeks.
In December we did it 7 days in a row around my fertile window, so we have just tried to copy that and hope that it will do the trick this month 😂 when do you think you will test? I’m going to try and hold out until I’m 13 DPO.

Orlahoping · 29/03/2024 13:12

@Ella31 so sorry again that you went through such a heartbreaking loss.

I wanted to comment just to say I am getting a lot of support using The Worst Girl Gang Ever online support groups in my quest to conceive again. It's paid for, but it really has been worth it so far.

Fingers crossed for you for this month. You really deserve all the good things to happen.

I'll hold out until 8dpo as that's when I tested positive with my twins.

Sorry to hear that. I had a mc at 8 weeks a few months before I conceived my twins. It was very tough.

The shock is something else. I was 6 weeks away from delivering when I discovered one of my twins had died. It must have been very hard for you to find out they were gone

Hey Orlahoping, how are you getting on? Will definitely give that a look

@Ella31 period arrived today! Wasn't hopeful really as was first proper cycle but still disappointed. I'm doing ok, just trying to stop being so obsessive.

Hope the rest of NY was relaxing x

I'm so sorry, hopefully it's your body getting back to normal. I was devastated when I got my first af after having my boys but I kept telling myself it's probably good to have a cycle completed. Means things are regulating.

I was so obsessive. I've taken a massive step back. But I got accupuncture this week and found it so relaxing. Normally I'm on edge at this point when ovulation is over and into the tww

That's what took my boys as well @Casdentwo it's a horrific condition. We got the acute version which is rare apparently. I was nearly 30 weeks. Usually hits earlier apparently.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you are doing ok. I'm desperate to conceive again.

So sorry for your loss. Have you been tested for Factor V Leiden? If not, suggest you are. That's what caused my MMC at 17 weeks. Solution was simple. Please rule this out before trying again. Ask for a blood test at the Dr.s

Hi im so sorry for your loss, no I've no fertility issues thankfully. Just like @Casdentwo my boys got ttts it's an identical twin condition that isn't hereditary or can be prevented. It just happens. We were the unlucky ones unfortunately.

I didn't have a miscarriage it was stillbirth and a neonatal loss. I was almost full term. My pregnancy was perfect up until the day the condition hit. It was acute.

Thank you I read her story before. Its terrible. Sadly I had no symptoms or chance of surgery. I got stage 5 ttts immediately. I had a scan literally a few days before it and they were perfect. But they reckon it happened for me in a matter of hours. By the time I got to the hospital one of my sons had died and my other was failing. How he lived 4 days I'll never know.

I'm definitely going to give her a look. It's shocking this condition is so fatal though

I stumbled across this thread and while I haven't been in your exact situation and I'm not currently TTC, still wanted to comment if that's okay.
Just wanted to say what you've been through is so sad and heartbreaking. No one can understand your pain unless they've experienced the exact thing themselves.
Sending you massive hugs and wish you all the best, I hope you will be holding your rainbow baby or babies this time next year.
🌷💕
It's so unfair that life can be so cruel sometimes 😔

Hey lovely,

I hope you don't mind me joining this chain. I am so sorry for your loss, I've never been in your situation but I can only imagine how heartbreaking that is for you! Sending you so much love and hope for your rainbow baby! 🌈

This is my first time trying to conceive and I'm now on cycle two. Currently 1DPO. I'm not holding out much hope for this cycle. I have used the clear blue ovulation tests and I had nothing and then all of a sudden it showed I was peak ovulation. We dtd 2 days before and on the day! I'm new to all this so here for all the advice!

Sending everyone lots of love! ❤️

Hi. I know this is an old post but wondered how the OP was getting on?

I lost my twin baby boys on Boxing Day 2025 at 22 weeks. Henry was a neonatal death as he was alive for 45 minutes but Rupert was classed as a second trimester miscarriage.

We are grieving our beautiful boys but long for a family so I was hoping to hear some success stories.
