Partner and I have not been actively trying this month but did have unprotected sex around 3 times one time I think was around time of my ovulation.

The last week or so I really convinced myself I was pregnant (sore boobs to extent I needed hot water bottle, stomach cramps, back ache , nippe changes etc). I took a test today as above and it was truly negative, no faint line or anything. I took the test after lunch time , I'd drunk a bottle of apple juice before.

Even though we weren't really planning I'm feeling really disappointed:( and also concerned that this may mean I'm infertile (I'm 27).

Is there still a possibility it could turn positive in a few days or if I use another test? Or am.i def out this month?

@Starbo1010 sorry you're feeling stressed about this. Do you track your cycles/ ovulation at all in an app or use ovulation tests? It's hard to say if you'd be out or not without knowing what date ovulated and when you had unprotected sex around that. It's quite a small window that you're able to conceive in, do you know what DPO you are?

Hi OP, at the point your period is late then you would expect to have a strong positive pregnancy test, especially if using a clear blue early one.

To reassure you though, not being pregnant now absolutely does not mean you are infertile. Have a look at the “conception” board on here and you will see that there are literally hundreds of lovely ladies who are actively testing urine every day to track ovulation, testing their temperature every day to confirm ovulation, using various supplements and medications to enhance ovulation, having sex 3 times a day over the fertile window, lying with their legs up for 20 minutes after sex etc etc… and who still try for months and months before they fall pregnant.

You’ve only had sex 3 times in a month and you aren’t even sure if it was at peak fertility time, so not being pregnant from that alone absolutely doesn’t mean you are infertile. Trying to conceive is a bit of a lottery, the statistics show that even if you time it absolutely perfectly, there’s still only around a 20% chance each cycle to conceive. Try not to worry x

Hello Thank you for your responses :)

I am unsure when I ovulated , I don't track and my periods are somewhat irregular . I was quite unwell with flu / a chest infection the week after my last period so I'm wondering if that delayed my cycle . I'm thinking that could either have delayed my cycle and that's why I'm late or delayed my cycle meaning I conceived later than I thought. I've been having strange symptoms over the last week and keep thinking I'm coming on but never do
