Quick conception first time around? What's your second attempt been like?

Hello:

We conceived on the first try but the pregnancy unfortunately ended in miscarriage.

I know this, along with almost everything associated with pregnancy, varies so much and is so subjective, but wondering if anyone's in the same boat and if so, what's your second attempt been like?

A lot of the mums I have met locally with their first babies have told me that their first conception ended in miscarriage. Obviously its different from woman to woman how long it might take, and all the factors involved etc. but I hope you take some reassurance in the fact that there are many women who miscarried at the first try and still had healthy happy children.

first attempt was 2-3 months - had dd.

Second attempt was a 1 shot wonder (weren't really trying - were going to start properly the next month) but ended in m/c

Been ttc since then to no avail and has been 19 months so far.

Well I hope PreP you're not put off by the boasting, and that you don't give up and that you keep trying.

I have been told that if your relax, its a lot more likely to happen though its hard to do that sometimes. I do have one friend who tried for many years - gave up, went on a rather boozy holiday in Cuba and came back pregnant.

Its tricky on here isn't it - I find that I often leave things off / or what I write is somehow misinterpreted and someone jumps all over me. Genuninely sorry if you felt I was doing that to you too Megglevache.

(I was actually trying not to jump all over you but be a bit more subtle )

1st son -got pregnant straight away.

2nd son - 2nd cycle got pregnant.

Im now trying for number 3 but am on cycle 6 and feeling shitter and shitter as time goes on

#1 - charting to prevent, got carried away so pretty much first go.
#2 - over three years, then IVF, then she died.
#3 - second time.
#4 - ten cycles so far.

PP perhaps this wasn't the best thread to start in the first place...selfishly I was wanting to hear 'It's been 1st time every time for us' - the fact that it can happen is comforting. But I know that it's not that easy for everyone. I was so surprised when it happened on the first try for us but devastated when it ended in mc. Like many girls who have gone through this, I want to hear that I'll get pregnant again in no time, even though I know that's not really realistic and that everyone has a different experience. Thank you all, though, for your input.
