Hi everyone. I am currently in the 2WW after transferring a PGT normal embryo. Had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday (5DP5DT) and felt I must have been out of the game so took a pregnancy test (cheapie) to confirm and wallow in my misery. After a few minutes it came back with a second line, tested again this morning probably 13hours after previous and still appears positive. I had a trigger as part of a natural FET which I tested out a week ago (shown in pic) and it seems a little darker today and yesterday. Bottom test is 6DP5DT FMU. Experienced POASers….am I imagining this? Should it be darker? Could it be the trigger taken 13 days ago! I’m well aware I need to step away from the urine. Will likely wait another 48hrs as the constant comparison is killing me!

This is why we don’t test early people!! Any opinions gratefully received!!

Technically it could be trigger but I reckon at 13 days ago, the trigger wouldn't be so strong... tentative congrats!! I had my bfp at 7dp5dt - going again (and again) for ivf baby number 2 now. I think there's every chance yours is real! Let me know how you get on :) love an ivf success story!

Thank you! I have stared at it so many times I’m not sure what to think now, so thank you for your words of encouragement! I will certainly keep you posted. Good luck with your IVF journey 🍀

Just to post an update in case anyone comes across this in future. Lines kept progressing and got a dye stealer on 11DP5DT. It’s still early days but happy to say those lines were genuine and not the trigger!

Hi! What is DP5DT?

GB844 · 24/03/2024 15:59

It means days post 5 day embryo transfer 😀. 11 days post 5 day transfer is equivalent to 16 days post ovulation in non-IVF pregnancies

@GB844 so happy to see this OP! Brilliant lines and I know just how much they will mean to having been through the trauma of IVF ❤️❤️❤️ it's your time! X

Thank you so much @MotherOfShihTzus. I’m trying to be happy and not over analyse every single line….IVF does crazy things to you! ❤️❤️

Oh it really does @GB844 just take it each checkpoint at a time, and maybe try and reduce testing - I think I stopped at first 7 week scan and tried to take that as a good point to believe. The anxiety will be there, but will reduce at each appointment, til it ramps up again pre-birth 😂 enjoy being pregnant - I wish you minimal symptoms! (Although having them will make it feel more real 😂) x

GB844 · 25/03/2024 12:31

haha, so far so good on the symptom front just have terrible insomnia and need to pee a lot! I have actually decided I will stop testing, the test line yesterday was darker than the control so I will only obsess if I keep going and I just have to go with it I think. My clinic have booked me in for a 6 week scan so that’s the next big milestone. Really hoping this is our time ❤️ Thanks for all the cheerleading 🥰 hoping your journey goes smoothly! Xx
