I’m starting to feel pretty exhausted and drained. I’m 35 now started ttc last year May. Several pregnancy announcements and some friends have had babies this month.

I’ve been tested, moderately/low AMH of 11, but everything else came back normal.

wondering if I should wait the full year or go straight to ivf as the above amh has me worried.

Anyone else in similar predicament?

Hello

We tried for 18 months, although only about 12 cycles within that as we had the odd month off due to a bereavement etc. I got pregnant but had to terminate due to a life limiting chromosome problem. It then took us another 4 months to conceive again.

I genuinely believe I would have been pregnant sooner had we:

  • Followed the Sperm Meets Egg Plan. Essentially, I don't think we were having enough sex at the right time
  • Used a fertility lube - we added that in and got pregnant the second cycle
  • Taken Ubiquinol 600mg for egg quality

Are you using LH strips to predict ovulation? We did that but I then added in BBT after my TFMR. I think that was very useful to learn my cycles more, and confirm ovulation.

I also had a HSG dye test to check my tubes, two cycles before my first pregnancy. No blockage was found but there is anecdotal evidence it helps flush things through and it worked for me.

My AMH was 11 too, when tested at 38. I'm now 39, and rainbow baby is due on my 40th birthday!

Hope this helps.
