Ovulation testing

I feel a bit silly asking but very new to tracking cycle and have only started tracking ovulation with sticks and Flo app. I completely missed a green light for ovulation last month, I was using clear blue late in the evening only. This month I have so far been doing one ovulation test a day since end of period. Bought cheap ones and so not sure if they are just as good.

Sorry, my question is, with a very regular cycle, on what cycle day should I be testing ovulation and how many days should I test? I am planning IUI abroad and hence the reason I am trying to do a few months of accurate ovulation as it seems the window for insemination is really short, I think 24 hours. I am just generally feeling like it is a very long shot. Any advice appreciated. Thank you

If your cycles are regular, can't you just have sex every other day in the week before and after mid cycle? Then there will be swimmers waiting.

Just to add, my confusion is because Flo app says one thing and the IUI clinic said ovulation is most like on cycle day 12-14. Just looking for others experiences

Thanks - I should have made it clear going the solo route! So completely relying on insemination by IUI and that's why I am trying to get on board as much as I can with the ovulation tracking

@Margo2023 iv never used tests before but I have been on the pill for over 10 years. I stopped my pill on 26th Feb half way through packet. I had withdrawal bleed start on 1st March. I started testing once a day from the 1st. I have included pics below using the premom app and easy@home ovulation sticks. I started testing early as I was not sure where my cycle was and if my body will take ages to get going. I got my peak it appears on day 15 and all yesterday my boobs were sore and had belly ache, which I presume was ovulation day. I think everyone is different but maybe start testing from like day 7/8 of your cycle and see how you get on the first month. I would then test more times a day when its getting darker! X

I think it's generally suggested you test more than once a day because sometimes the window of it being positive is quite short. I wasn't very good at testing multiple times a day but I guess a reminder on your phone or something would help x

I would start testing around day 9 twice a day, when your LH starts to rise and you see it surging I would be testing up to 4 times a day to ensure you don't miss your peak.
