Positive pregnancy test for weeks after MC

Hi

I had an early MC beginning of Feb and by 21/02 blood tests were showing HCG levels back down to 2.

I have taken a test today (12/03) and it is showing positive. Could this mean I have fallen pregnant that quickly?? Or is it possible that it's a false positive.

I am so confused. Really hoping its a real positive and I've just gotten pregnant before my next cycle. Has anyone experienced anything like this before

Thanks you 🙂

Hi Op, did you do a test after the MC and with the HCG as 2 to see if the test was negative?
Last blood test I had, I had HCG of 15 and would still show as positive on a test. It took a week later to get a negative test.
But seeing as your levels were 2 almost 3 weeks ago, it sounds as though you would have got down to 0 quite quickly and that this could be a new pregnancy 🤞🏻

It’s possible you could be pregnant again. In your scenario I’d try and speak to the early pregnancy unit as important they check if it’s a new pregnancy or retained products from the previous pregnancy.

If your levels went as low as 2 afterwards I'd be pretty optimistic this is a new pregnancy providing the dates add up.

Hope it all goes well for you.

You’re supposedly really fertile after a MC and seeing as you were down to 2 I’d say it’s most likely a new pregnancy.

I know MN hates looking at how dark pregnancy tests are but I would take another test tomorrow to see if it’s any darker. I’d say that’ll be a good indication of new/old hormones.
