Could I be pregnant after sex during my period?

Hi.

I had sex during my period without any protection (would just firstly like to say we are planning to try for a baby this year so I wasn't being completely careless) but we were hoping to start after a two week holiday booked for June. However, if it happened before then, we would be fine and happy with this.

So I was under the impression that it's nearly impossible to get pregnant during your period because obviously if you have a regular cycle (like me) you wouldn't have ovulated or be in pre ovulation days.

According to my Flo app, I was not.

However, I am now three days late for my period and aside from some mood swings I have no other symptoms. I know three days late isn't really late but I am usually spot on the day or the day before so I am starting to wonder. I usually also have more cramps.

Is it possible I could be pregnant despite everything?

it's always possible but probably unlikely. If you're 3 days late a test would definitely show either way by now, have you done a test? otherwise could just be random!

absolutely yes. sperm could stay alive for 5 days and perhaps you ovulated earlier than you think.

It's possible just not very likely. It depends how long your cycle is and when you ovulate. I'd do a test as it would show a positive at 3 days late. Keep us posted.
