Negative Digital Test

Hi all, first time poster!
My partner and I have started TTC this month and I’m 1 day late on my period (due yesterday, and usually very regular). I did a clear blue digital test about lunchtime, after lots of liquids 😅and it has come up with ‘not pregnant’. I was just wondering if anyone has had this before with the digital tests but then tested positive in a couple of days? I am
a bit crampy but doesn’t feel like my normal period cramps (they are coming and going) and have been having odd bouts of nausea.
We are both mid-late 30s and I’m also overweight (which I need to sort). So conscious things aren’t in our favour - but it is early days I know. Thank you!

Hi
I would test in a couple of days if AF doesn't arrive.
You're still very early days.
I would buy some IC as you will spend a fortune on digital tests.
I always save the digital to confirm after a positive IC.
Do you track ovulation? BBT OPK?

@Smithyb Thanks for the quick response. Bear with me as I’m new to all the lingo. I used ovulation sticks to track this month but nothing more than that! Not even sure if I used them correctly to be honest. What is IC / BBK OPK?
I also have this weird dull pain in my lower left abdomen, just above the groin area. Not sure what that is!

Hi I'm relativley new to posting aswell.
BBT is (body basal temp you take your temp first thing in the morning before getting out of bed I use the thermometer provided by natural cycles as I Dont think you can just use the bog standard thermometer )OPK ovulation tests. IC is internet cheapie pregnancy test I use wodafo IC to test until I get a BFP And Then I use clear blue digital to confirm it .
my understanding from stalking posts on here the test line on ovulation tests has to be the same or darker as the control line for a positive from there it's likely you will ovulate 24-48 hours later .
Some people use the clear blue digital ovulation test and I think it picks up another hormones aswell as LH that comes up with a flashing smiley face and a solid smiley when you get the surge and peak.
I'm still learning myself.
I've currently got the same pain as you needing to urinate more I also had a big dip in temp 7dpo that increased the day after and I'm more tired and moody but I'm only 10dpo so I will hold off on testing until I'm a few days late as I will just stress otherwise I think we can notice changes in our bodies when we're on the lookout I had symptoms last month and convinced myself I would get a BFP (big fat positive pregnancy test ) but I wasn't pregnant.
I would definitely wait until Tuesday morning to test again especially if you're using digital they're not cheap.
Have you taken any pre pregnancy vitamins this month as I've read on here this can sometimes alter your cycle?

Yes I got 2 x digital tests and they were definitely spenny like you say! I don't have any others in the house which is probably a good thing so will do an Amazon order and test Tuesday like you say. I'm just so impatient! Thanks for all the info on the lingo, I'm desperately reading threads now too trying to work it all out and look for similar stories especially about a negative digital which could then be positive. How long have you been trying for if you don't mind me asking? Is this your first time? My sister took almost a year to get pregnant the first time and so I very much have that in the back of my mind too. I keep trying to think of all the positives if AF is to arrive (more time to save money etc). I can understand though why this process can get so tiresome after months of trying.

I've been trying for a year now unfortunately had multiple MC /chemicle in that time
I have endometriosis and cysts but

I have 2 children I was in my early 20s and they was surprises so I never TTC before.
I was very ignorant and didn't think it would be this stressful

I know it can be really hard not to keep testing but I think a few days after AF is due is best for me as even if I got a vv faint line if I tested today then I would be obsessing over the line progression and nothing will change the outcome anyway .

I BBT OPK take Severn seas pre conception use conceive plus lubricant and this month I started with the mytle and Maude fertility tea (I drink 3 teas per day up until ovulation) this is very pricey but I'm hoping it all works out I'm 35 I used to think this was “old”to get pregnant but now I'm told its not classed as “old” now and this is outdated.

My BBTs this months have been lower than previous months but Ive my fingers crossed.

My bestfiend is 23 weeks pregnant she wasn't even TTC I would of been 2 weeks ahead of her but it wasn't meant to be and I'm her birthing partner my other friend is 21 weeks she tried for well over 2 years.
It'd just goes to show everyone is different .
