Ovulation and cervical discharge

I'm using clear blue and OPK strips I got peak fertility results on
D14 and D15. Normally I have cervical discharge about a day or two before peak fertility….all fine

however on D17 this month I passed what I normally would say is my fertile mucus
Normally I get this prior to reaching peak fertility.

I'm so confused 😕
if I’m going on the strips my peak is D14/15
but if I go by mucus it’s D17 (but I was reading a blank circle on the CB at this point)

can anyone help me work out what is going on? Is it more reliable to go on OPK or discharge?
does it mean I was more fertile on D17?

Hi hun. I would probably trust the cm more, as the digital CB aren't always accurate. Also, you can get 'positive' on OPK but that doesn't mean you did ovulate - it just meant you had a surge of the hormone LH. So you might have had the surge, didn't ovulate yet, and your body is trying again. I'd say keep having regular sex every 2 days.

I got my BFP earlier this week and was convinced it wasn't my month because I ovulated late on CD22 and had no EWCM at all! I don't understand it, but clearly my body didn't read the TTC manual.

I think when I got pregnant last time (ended in mc) I wasn’t really tracking but I did conceive I believe after my ‘fertile window’ which would have been day 17 or 18
and if I follow this it would make sense that I got my EWCM on day 17 and am probably fertile then 👌
