I have been ttc for a few months now. I am due my period in 6 days and have noticed more watery discharge over the past day. I went to the toilet and found a mass of tissue, it is about 8mm in width and has an almost jelly like texture but is quite round.
Has anyone got any idea what this could be?

Not entirely sure. You'll get speculative answers on here to be honest so best to speak with a doctor if your worried. It could be implantation bleeding but can't be sure.

Hey, as above anything anyone says is just guessing. Please do get checked if you are worried. However hopefully for you it’s your body trying to create a mucus plug for pregnancy.
‘have you thought about testing yet? X

Thank you both for your replies. I will definitely go to the doctor if any more comes out. I had the coil removed around 6 months ago and feel like that has completely messed with my cycles and length of periods.
I was going to wait until my period due date to test but may do it a few days early!

Hey, can I ask what kind of could you had. I had mine removed 6 months ago too and have all but lost my periods altogether. I had the copper one.
good luck, I hope it’s the news you long for x

I had the mirena coil, and the string went missing so was a painful 30 minutes when the doctor removed it... I definitely will not be getting one again 😔

Wallawallakoala · 06/03/2024 22:25

Has it got something in the centre like a clot? Did you have any pain?

Happytimes123456 · 06/03/2024 22:31

It has a slightly darker centre, but no pain at all

I did had a full abdominal scan (including looking at my ovaries and uterus) about 3 months ago, and have had a full health check including bloods last month which all showed up healthy... so fingers crossed it isn't anything. I also have had a smear test about 14 months ago too.
