TTC March 2024 and struggling anyone want to discuss

Hi,

My husband and I have been TTC for over a year now. All hormone tests etc for us including an internal ultrasound have come back fine. I BBT chat, ovulation test and we both take all recommended vitamins but it still isn’t happening.

It seems like everyone I know is just getting pregnant constantly and I just feel like it’s never going to be our turn. I’m 30 so still have time but it’s just so frustrating.

Not particularly looking for advice just wanted to see if anyone else was struggling at the moment and wanted to share their stories/have a moan as it is sometimes needed.

Hi! Similar situation here, trying over a year, midway through tests (had all mine (waiting on blood results) plus internal ultrasound just waiting on my husband's) and just nothing. I'm a little older at 36 so that may well be impacting things for us. It sucks doesn't it!! I knew it was very likely to take a while but it doesn't make it any easier when it then actually does 😞 I'm new to mumsnet but wanted to chat to people in the same boat as lots of people just don't understand 😔

MerryBrickHelper · 06/03/2024 21:07

Have you had your thyroid tested??

TTCfingerscrossed24 · 06/03/2024 21:19

Thanks for your reply @CarolCat . Me too I’m new to mumsnet. It really is just so frustrating isn’t it particularly when there’s nothing that I think I can change to make a difference. We eat well, exercise etc. A few of my friends have conceived by ‘accident’ recently which adds to the fun. My husband isn’t that worried he thinks it will just happen but I feel my anxiety levels exploding every month 😂 Where are you at in your cycle?

I am yes @MerryBrickHelper all fine. Had it tested twice.

@TTCfingerscrossed24 Hi im on my third cycle of TTC for my first baby I'm 34 nearly 36 hubby 39 nearly 40 all our tests have come back fine/ in normal ranges

just wondering what your thyroid score was as last year mine was 1.55 now 3.28 still in the normal range but they say optimal for fertility is under 2.5 and ferritin mine is 40ugl but should be 50ugl to conceive

33, charting everything, diet on point and not even the faintest of glimmers of a double line. I feel your pain. It’s so very very heartbreaking

TTCfingerscrossed24 · 06/03/2024 23:26

@UnicornPrincessSarah I heard that too. My last one was 1.88. Have you had any other tests or just bloods?

@Duckgirl I feel you! It’s so frustrating!! Who ever thought it would be this hard?!? 🙄I thought it would take awhile but it does feel endless.

@TTCfingerscrossed24 it really does. Tbh with how my periods are going I’m starting to think I may never make it. They o ly last hours now.
sending you lots of luck and baby dust. Are you in your TWW? X

TTCfingerscrossed24 · 07/03/2024 00:16

@Duckgirl oh no! Have you any idea why they are like that?

Yes at the beginning but we went easy this month as we’ve both been working late so didn’t even BD peak day or ovulation day so not optimistic to be honest. Normally I would be going crazy about it but this month in particular I just felt like I needed a break. It’s draining after awhile. Are you in your TWW?

@TTCfingerscrossed24 i am not sure. Docs have done some tests and a scan and found nothing. I’m worried it’s perimenopause as my mum went through it early and I got my periods at 9.
I was, AF came earlier today. Gone again now. I think I’m going to have a break this month. Tbh with how I feel it’s breaking me. No idea how we ladies keep this up. Love and luck to you. Even if it’s just luck to have some headspace for you xxx

CarolCat · 07/03/2024 06:59

@TTCfingerscrossed24 it's so, so frustrating isn't it. Every month I decide I can't do it any more and want to give up/at least have a break, then ovulation rolls round and I know I'll regret it if we don't try so back round we go. Just coming to the end of the TWW now, almost certain period is on its way but always delude myself until it's actually full-on here. Whereabouts are you in yours?

Smithyb · 07/03/2024 08:24

Hi similar situation I'm 35 my husband and I have been trying for 1 year.
We've had multiple Mc within that year.
I also BBT and OPK (I use natural cycles)
We will be trying again for March cycle.

I'm drinking fertility tea this month until ovulation.

To try and put your mind at ease I have a friend who tried for over 2 years and is now nearly 21 weeks pregnant.

Some times it just take longer for some people.

UnicornPrincessSarah · 07/03/2024 09:27

@TTCfingerscrossed24 we have both had our bloods done me i have had day 3 bloods done and day 21 bloods, hubby also had a semen test and I had a pelvic scan that showed polycystic ovaries, they said everything was normal tough
