Hi All,

I need some help, this has been driving me crazy. I had a miscarriage on the 01/02 without aid and stopped bleeding completely on on the 04/02. The doctor confirmed it was a complete miscarriage on the 02/02. On the 23/02 I ovulated. Today is 10 dpo and I've got this result. Initially, I thought I was pregnant the days leading to ovulation, but I think that was still the residual hormone.

I called the epu and a nurse will call me back today. Its been such a rollercoater of emotions.

Could this still be residual hormone or new pregnancy? It's been 4.5 weeks since miscarriage and 4 weeks since bleeding stopped completely.

Need some help

Sorry for your previous loss. Did you have any negative tests following the mc? I was told to test 3 weeks after and phone EPU then if still positive, was this the case with you? If you've tested negative previously and know you ovulated it seems very likely to be a new pregnancy 🤞

I have tested negative. But right before ovulating on the 19/02 I tested positive and then it went to negative and now its positive again.

Sounds very promising for you then 🩷 hopefully the EPU can offer some support though x

Thank you, I really hope so. It's the not knowing one way or other which is driving me insane.

I had a blood test on Thursday, hcg was 4 and progesterone was 9. Nurse said I'm most likely going to get my period.

I had spotting yesterday and more today. But I've got a temperature of 39 and I'm in a lot of pain. Abdominal pain but also aches all over my body, like I've got a bad flu. Very nauseas, like needing to vomit any minute. Very faint can't even go toilet without help. Is this normal for a first period after miscarrige?

This doesn't sound normal at all, especially as you're in a lot of pain, best to get yourself to a doctor as soon as you can so they can check you out properly. Hope all is ok and you feel better soon.

ThingsLineUp · 09/03/2024 18:57

Maybe A&E even with such a high temperature and severe symptoms. Definitely at least call 111 (presuming you're in the UK)

Dancingfairydreams · 09/03/2024 19:06

@Utopiachaser did you have a scan prior to your MC? I would he worried about an ectopic with the symptoms you are now having. I really hope it's not but definitely worth getting checked out..not trying to panic you just have been there 😕

I had a scan prior to miscarriage and then after. It was confirmed to be a complete miscarriage. That happened a little over 5 weeks ago. A few days ago I had hcg done and it came back 4. So definitely not pregnant. I did a dip urine test nothing is coming up for leukocytes. I don't know what's wrong. I might call 111.

Please do call 111 - it's what they're there for or you can even fill out their online form and put in symptoms for advise on what to do: https://111.nhs.uk/triage/check-your-symptoms

Hi, thanks for checking in. I was bad for 2 days and then completely fine. I had a hospital appointment on Friday. They did an ultrasound as well. Everything looked fine. I'm going to be trying this month, hopefully I can fall pregnant again.
