I still haven’t had my period (due Friday) and I had vvvvv and I mean very faint positive pregnancy tests last week (barely visible to the eye)

I had a random bit of spotting last Wednesday, which was brown and bright pink in colour. Now I have cramps and this brown discharge? I feel really anxious and don’t know what to do/what’s wrong!?

This is 100% not my period x

Hi op, I’ve commented on some of your other threads. I understand you’re worried about this but sadly it’s a wait and see situation just now.
Have you taken a digital test? I know you took one last week but that was most likely too early to tell. A faint positive is still positive no matter how dark the line is.
Have you taken a recent test to see if it’s darker- it may be a darker line now that your period is late.

This spotting could be a few things- it may be implantation bleeding, random spotting in pregnancy or a chemical pregnancy but sadly non of us will be able to advise and it will be a wait and see.
First thing I would do is take a more recent test. If it’s positive and you’re spotting with any cramping then I’d contact your local early pregnancy unit. Sorry to say there’s not much they can do at the moment but they can give you updated advice and hopefully reassure you.

I took a strip test this morning (cheapie) and it looked negative however at the end where the absorbent tip was a red line appeared I couldn’t work out if it was dye run. I will retest in the morning as I have one left, I am really unsure what to do whether I need to speak to a GP? I also have cramping and lower back pain but not severe, just mild as if i were on my period x

I would go and buy a digital test, it will give you a fairly accurate reading now you’re late.

You could phone to speak to your gp and ask for a blood test but, in my experience, they don’t usually do much, if you’ve got a positive test then they might ask you to refer yourself to a midwife and if its a negative test then they will ask you to wait out your period and might put it down to an irregular period this month.

Also If you keep getting faint lines on the same brand type of test then I’d definitely try a different brand .

All the tests I’ve used, have been different brands, I’ve used Morrisons early detection, 2 types of clear and simple, Sainsbury’s and a Poundland cheap one x

Sorry it’s so stressful but it will be hard for anyone to tell for sure what’s happening .
Please try another digital test and go with that result. If negative then this may be a late period.
If it’s positive then keep an eye on the spotting and cramping. Period like cramps are normal in early pregnancy but if they are accompanied by bleeding then you should contact epu and they may arrange for an early scan but most likely not until you’re at the 6 week mark.

Thank you!

I just find it really odd I had this exact same discharge one week after sex. Now again, a few days after my period is due. And none of it resembles my period what so ever x

It could be random pregnancy spotting or an irregular period but doing a digital test might help you figure out if you’re pregnant.
Have all the tests you’ve taken been faint or a mix of faint and negative?

Hi there, I’m wondering if someone can help, is this a faint positive? I done one last night and it was just 1 line but I done this one this morning and there’s a really faint line x
