Thin uterine lining on scan??

Hi Everyone, we have been TTC going on 2 years and currently going through tests, my bloods are all normal but partners sperm morphology is 2% and currently the only issue we’ve found. I had an ultrasound scan recently which also came back as normal but when I’ve read the report it’s says endometrium 6mm. When I’ve looked online this sounds way too thin for the time of my cycle. I was 3 days from my period so surely this should be when it’s thickest? Or will it have already started to reduce at this point? I can’t seem to find info online as to when it exactly starts to break down but am assuming it is when you get your actual period? my periods are only 3 days and not heavy so wondering if this is actually a problem..
Thank you in advance

Hi @Elltx I don't have any answers but I'm in a similat position. Lining is 6.9mm but the results came back as satisfactory. Been TTC for 6 months after MMC. My periods are also light and 3 days which they never used to be. Have you had any more info?

Hi all,

Just found this thread and interested in others experiences with thin linings. I started TTC a few months ago but have a thin lining - this month (after letrozole) I had a 5.8mm lining and a 24mm follicle a few days before ovulation, the lining increased to 6mm at ovulation with vaginal estrogen. However it wasn’t clearly triple layer. I have no history of surgery so my doctor isn’t massively worried about it yet, but I’m still confused why it’s not looking like it should. About a month ago I had a scan when all follicles were still small (I have PCOS) and the lining did look triple layered then… a bit confused by it all.

Appreciate everyone is different, but any thoughts or experiences you can share are greatly appreciated!

How are you guys all getting on ?

@worldwidetravel2017 I actually conceived on my next cycle, which I totally didn't expect! Have a scan next week which will be 7 weeks in so fingers crossed.

@Sofie25 sorry I don't have any advice but hopefully my situation gives you some confidence that it's still possible with a thinner lining.

@13lucy congratulations, that’s great news! It definitely does give me hope hearing positive stories :) Did you have any scans the month you conceived out of interest?

@Sofie25 no, the only ultrasound I had was the the cycle before I conceived and was 6.9mm which they said was fine. So either thinner lining didn't matter too much, or it can vary from cycle to cycle.
