I’m guessing this is a chemical pregnancy. Just looking for other experiences of this and when they started to bleed? Thank you. Pic attached of 13dpo test and 15dpo test.

Are you sure of your ovulation date?

Hiddenvoice · 03/03/2024 07:32

Sorry it can be really hard to tell if it’s a chemical. Most of my pregnancy tests were very faint until I was a week late so please don’t give up hope!

nancyalan · 03/03/2024 07:46

Hi @Olika yeah I got a positive ovulation test and I tend to feel it, I guess it could have been the next day. I feel pregnant but just don’t think the tests look great for the dates.

@Hiddenvoice thank you! We are trying for baby no 2 and with our first my 15dpo was very strong, that’s what’s not making me feel very positive. I feel pregnant though…

The tests do look very faint. I suppose you can just wait and see what happens. Good luck! 🤞🏼

Hiddenvoice · 03/03/2024 07:53

It was my second pregnancy in which my tests took a week to get darker. I was pretty worried and spoke to my previous midwife who said it didn’t matter how faint the line was, if there was a second line then I was pregnant. She also sadly said it was a wait and see game and I could book a viability scan once I was around 7-8 weeks to give myself some reassurance.

nancyalan · 03/03/2024 07:57

@Hiddenvoice ah that’s promising! So you got stronger lines first time round?

Thank you @Olika 😊

Yeah my first pregnancy the tests were dark straight away so i definitely compared them and thought there was something wrong.
I’m at the end of my second pregnancy now and it’s been completely different from my first in every way.
I’m hoping it all works out for you. I’d suggest taking a couple days off from testing and try on Tuesday to hopefully see a difference!

nancyalan · 03/03/2024 08:15

@Hiddenvoice ah lovely! I hope all goes well. Thank you for your kind advice. Going to have an easy morning with my wee girl eating pancakes and watching The Lion King.

I never got really dark lines, and my now 6 year old and almost 4 year old were not chemical.
Don't lose hope yet. Don't focus on lines. Focus on what you're feeling and what your body is telling you.

nancyalan · 03/03/2024 09:14

Thank you @strawberry2017 thats a positive story!

I’m just confused now. I took the bottom test today and it’s just the same as the two before? No darker or lighter? I know I should just stop but I’d rather start bleeding or of course see a darker test!
Were your tests like this @Hiddenvoice ?

Chemical?

Olika · 04/03/2024 16:53

I think there's progression as the line is a bit darker and slightly more pink. 🤞🏼

nancyalan · 04/03/2024 17:14

Thanks @Olika I do now think that as I look back. I was just hoping to see 2 dark lines, I’m just not sure if it’s going to now be a chemical/miscarriage that will drag out. I guess it’s a wait and see!

OP posts:
Hiddenvoice · 04/03/2024 17:37

I agree with @Olika i think it’s a bit darker!
yeah mine were very faint, they looked like evap lines then once I hit 7 days late they suddenly got darker, almost as if I had been doing the tests wrong before!

Olika · 04/03/2024 17:54

Just to show you this was my FR when I found out with our first pregnancy so dark line and all, but still I MC so the line doesn't really tell you the end result.

Chemical?
Hiddenvoice · 04/03/2024 18:10

I’m sorry for your loss @Olika 🤍

You’re spot on though, sadly the darkness of the line can’t predict what might happen

nancyalan · 04/03/2024 18:32

I’m so sorry for your mc @Olika and thanks for sharing the pic.
I had a chemical before my first and I had a strong line the day my period was due and then it was virtually gone the next day and I started bleeding a few days later, so deep down I know I shouldn’t look at lines.

Just thought I would update that I started bleeding today, I’m okay and not in limbo land anymore. Thank you for kind messages.

Sending hugs OP!

I started to bleed last week, and this is my 4th loss. A chemical, although never confirmed, as there was nothing seen in a scan and my bhcg was 1 on the day I started to bleed ( I had 2 positive tests the week before). I still have hope that my rainbow will be here very soon.

Please see how you feel, and it may be worth a visit to EPU.

Please take care of yourself x

Olika · 05/03/2024 18:33

I am so sorry to hear that. ❤️‍🩹

Hiddenvoice · 05/03/2024 19:55

I’m so sorry @nancyalan 🤍

nancyalan · 06/03/2024 07:41

@RMCx3 Thank you and I’m so sorry, ❤️ how are you doing? I’ll keep everything crossed for you. This is my second chemical, I fell pregnant with my daughter two cycles after the first one. X
