I did a pregnancy test but after an hour it has shown a distinct blue positive line. I have then taken 3 more tests the same day that are negative.

is my hormone levels just diluted now and I am pregnant?

That's definitely reading pregnant. Congratulations!

Do one first thing if you want to check but I'd say you are.

I think the line is often a bit thicker than that on a positive test, like as thick as the control line, looks like it might be a faulty?? Doesn’t mean you’re not pregnant though - I’d defo test again in the morning ☺️

After an hour it will be an evap line.

Did this take an hour to show? I'd test again tomorrow if it wasn't in the timeframe just incase it's a false positive. (I'm not sure how common they are).

EspressoMacchiato · 02/03/2024 17:52

Sorry OP but those tests are known for showing false positives. The real positive line is thick.

I don’t think it’s positive unfortunately.

It did yes, I’ve ready that the only chemical that can turn it blue/pink is the HCG (or whatever it’s called) and that an evap line would be grey, who knows

Sorry all my clear blue Evaps have been blue in colour. I wouldn’t count this test and would try a different test in a few days.
When I had a few faints with clear blue the line was a lot thicker. The positive line has also appeared within the time frame. Once the timeframe is up then you need to bin the test as the the result isn’t accurate and is usually an evap line.

I think that there is a dye bleed going on too. Under the cap is wet and there is a smudge of dye over to the left of the window, flooding the test can cause this. Dip the test in a urine you’ve collected, rather than test mid flow.
Re test in a day or two op. Wishing you luck.
