Okay don't come at me. I can already see the eye roll comments, if you want to leave a rude comment don't and politely scroll by please Flowers

So my friends and I were discussing at one of our toddler groups, we came to see that the mums in the group who took 'Pregnacare, trying to conceive' ALL had boys! ..boy this could have been a coincidence in this group Hmm

But I'm now intrigued, those who took it - what did you have?

Absolutely not trying to be rude, but as it's the sperm that determines the sex of the baby I'd chalk it up to one of those funny coincidences. Everyone I know who's had a baby in the last five years or so has had a boy, it's odd!

Ooh this is interesting. Just to be a little controversial…

pregnacare helps prep the egg right and there was that study that shows although the sperm determines gender the effect chooses the sperm so maybe it is having an influence

LittleDoveLove · 03/03/2024 06:58

I took pregnacare, I have one boy and one girl.X

Strawberrycheesecake7 · 03/03/2024 07:03

I highly doubt there’s a correlation but I took pregnacare and had a boy.

BananaSplitX · 03/03/2024 07:12

2 girls, 1 boy - Pregnacare for all

Janey3090 · 05/03/2024 16:10

it's sex, not gender. And it's a total coincidence, the sperm affects the baby's sex. it's 50/50....

I can't imagine Pregnacarecwould want this association to become a common myth, given how many people are desperate for little girls and horrified by the idea of having to have little boys!! The gender disappointment threads could sink the company 🤣

To answer tho, I took it and had three boys, my mate did and had two girls

Wombatsquarepoo · 06/03/2024 10:03

lol what? I took pregnancare and had a boy and a girl

RomeoMcFlourish · 06/03/2024 10:04

Four girls

teacrumpetsandcake · 06/03/2024 10:05

Pregnacare is a multivitamin. It doesn't influence the sex of your baby.

VolvoFan · 06/03/2024 16:07

It's coincidence.

The egg contains one half of the DNA, the sperm contains the other half of the DNA. The egg contains one X chromosome, the sperm will have either one X or one Y chromosome. So when the two gametes meet, which hopefully they do, there will either be an X or a Y chromosome added to the X chromosome in the egg.

So no, pregnancy/fertility supplements have no sway over the sex of the baby.

Thanks for the comments folks Grin

It appears it was just a coincidence in our group but my tired mum brain thought I'd do a post for my own curiosity 🙊
