Positive OPK day 29 of a ‘normally’ 31 day cycle?!

Hello! I wondered if anyone else had ever got a positive OPK or clear blue digital ovulation test on day 29 of their cycle? I usually have a 31-34 day cycle and I’m so confused as to why I have gotten this positive?

Hey @KaneErin96 Have you done a pregnancy test at all!? Not to get your hopes up but I have seen some people say they get a blazing OPK when leading up to/around a BFP ✨ Might be worth a test 🙏🏼

But I've also seen people mention that you have a LH surge before your period starts 🤷🏻‍♀️

have you had a previous peak this cycle (even if you haven't) then i'd take a pregnancy test. this is what mine looked like when i was pregnant!

Hey @SunshineAndRainbows6! :) I have took a pregnancy test and it was a BFN but it was just a wee cheapie I took! I’ll keep testing and fingers crossed we get our BFP 🙏🏻💘

I can see others have suggested pregnancy test already. I was about to suggest that too. Good luck! 🤞🏼

Hey @Bells3032! :) I thought I might have but then it was new OPK’s which I hadn’t used before so couldn’t be sure and then decided they weren’t positive. I also had been using the clear blue digital ovulation tests and had been getting high fertility for a week. I stopped testing thinking I’m well past ovulation and wasn’t sure what was going on with the CB, used it today after I had a positive OPK and it’s sitting as a peak! I’ve took a pregnancy test but unfortunately it’s BFN (it was just a wee cheapie though) :)

Hi OP, this happened to me, I had a 30-31 day cycle like clockwork then suddenly one cycle I didn't ovulate until day 31. That was 6 cycles ago and since then I've had 2 normal 30 day cycles and 3 irregular cycles (ovulating between day 24-day 32). I've been to doctors for blood tests and had an ultrasound and all came back clear so no idea why it suddenly became irregular. Sorry not much help but our bodies do weird things!

did you take again this morning with first morning wee? may have a more accurate result if still quite early?

@Bells3032 still BFN but my OPK is still sitting at a peak!
