Screw you Easy@Home tests

Honestly, I just need a rant. I am done with E@H tests. I've taken about 10 tests this month and 4 have got evap lines. I know they are evaps, as the moment I take another test to see if the lines are getting darker, it's gone and I then have BFN. My hopes have been dashed so many times now. As I also got evaps last month too and then just when I thought it was getting better the following day BFN and auntie flow showed up.

Set of 3 E@H were my earliest tests then the bigger batch and the mixture of E@H, Boots and LH test are today.

I'm sorry :( the test in the second pic is particularly mean. Did all the lines show up within the 5 mins? I've had a couple of bad E@H tests too, then lots of people also say that CB is shit so what are we supposed to use?!

StephiW · 29/02/2024 19:55

The half ones, as I like to call them showed up afterwards. That 1 in the second picture showed up around the 8-9 minute mark... I have no idea what to test with anymore. I'm still going to use them but just not get excited unless I get 2-3 positives. Worst part is I'm now spotting and have been for 3 days on and off but no AF and still testing BFN! I just haven't a clue what is going on...

It makes me want to test with clear blue but they're so bloody expensive 😢

HollyGolightly4 · 29/02/2024 20:06

Ps. I'm sorry, it sucks.

Clearblue are terrible for evap lines/false positives

So many threads on reddit about E@H tests being really bad with evaps.

Try boots pink early detection. I find them pretty reliable.

Emilyx00 · 29/02/2024 20:16

I think I’ve had a few evaps from them too this month! It’s awful x

If they all showed up after the 5 mins then I would say it’s not an issue with the tests? I know it’s hard but they are only meant to be read within the window, after that just pop them in the bin. At the 8-9 minute mark you’re well out of the window for these tests so they should just be put in the bin. I always used easy@home and never had any issues and I don’t think it’s common to have issues with them if they are used as intended, wait for the window (3-5 mins), that’s the result then bin them. They are supposed to be the closest to the ones they use in hospitals/doctors as my midwife told me. The other ones I used are the first response early response which are pretty good but also quite expensive to keep buying.

I've had lots of issues with easy@home the past couple of months, so many false positives (& yes definitely false positives, pink and almost immediately so not evaps). It's so disheartening. Makes me seriously question the quality of the OPK's now too. I've got one step atm but they're terrible for indents in my opinion and can see a shadow even on unused tests

HollyGolightly4 · 01/03/2024 08:44

@DrunkenElephant I meant the digital (super expensive 🙈) ones

Pink3849 · 01/03/2024 10:10

Easy at Home tests are known for not having indent lines. I’m sorry to say, but if you are getting faint lines that do not progress then the most likely explanation is a chemical pregnancy, or one that has not implanted successfully. Take care.
