Backstory: I'm 38, I've got two DC and I'm currently trying for our 3rd. Pre conceiving 2nd DC in 2021 (gave birth in March 2022) I had regular 28 day cycles and ovulated around day 14. I breastfed my eldest until January 2024. My periods had come back in August 2023 and were horrifically heavy and initially I had very long cycles where I know i wasnt ovulating, much heavier than they had been before having my 2nd DC. They seem to have settled down a lot, and I had definitely been ovulating since December and in January my cycle went back to 29 days, having been more like 40 days since coming back in August. So it seemed like things were getting back to normal...
Then came this month. It looks like I may have ovulated (or not depending on BBT) on CD23. However, my BBT hasn't risen, so I'm thinking I probably haven't. I've had a look at example charts, and none of them seem to be like mine, so I haven't got a clue what is going on! 🙈
Am I expecting too much too soon given that I only stopped breastfeeding last month?
