Help! Peak before AF

Hi everyone, so I’ve had a strange cycle this month. Usually ovulate CD17, and I did get a small peak but blood test confirmed no ovulation so I continued testing and at CD28 had a strong peak, ovulation confirmed by blood test 7 days later.

im now 14 DPO, AF due yesterday and I randomly did an ovulation test and it’s peak!!! What does this mean?

Some women get two peaks, so it’s worth talking to the doctor who arranged the blood test.

I think in a CB it also measures oestrogen, meaning pregnancy can give a false positive, but that’s not the case for just LH iirc.

Lh strips, from the research I've done, can detect HCG as they can't differentiate the two. I've been reading up loads as I'm trying to figure out when I'll get my period/ovulate after my surgery for a mmc. Have you tried a pregnancy test?

Thanks both! I’ve already had 2 peaks this month. First one wasn’t ovulation but second one was, as confirmed with blood test!

haven’t tried pregnancy test yet as didn’t want to get my hopes up and want to wait until the weekend. Didn’t know if anyone had experience of this but still AF comes?

It means the OPK is definitely picking up hormones! Have you done a pregnancy test. I got a due stealer of an OPK after a positive pregnancy test. I did one just to see what would happen!
