Faint line

New to mums net and hoping for an honest opinion. I’m 4 weeks late, which isn’t unusual for me, but I tested today and got this within the 5 minutes. Could it be a positive or is it likely not?

I can see some colour to the line, but at over 4 weeks late, I'd expect it to be very strong positive. However, I know this isn't an exact science. Can you take a digital?

thats what I thought but I have very irregular periods. I had 2 on the bounce 28 days each, last one started 22nd December and nothing since. Had a lot of hot flushing, terrible insomnia and unusual sensations in my stomach so thought it’d test but I’m more confused now. I will definitely do a digital. Thanks for replying

Hi, I can see a line but if you are actually 4 weeks late it would be way darker. If you have irregular periods, it's possible you didn't ovulate until much more recently. Do you know when you ovulated- did you test?

No I gave up monitoring. I’ve been waiting for my period to arrive to start another cycle of ivf (been having a long break, over a year) so I honestly have no idea where I am in my cycle. Not really helpful that is it. Hahaha.

Have you been able to test again today? Also, that test in the original post looks like one of the Clearblue ovulation kits. Is it definitely a pregnancy test?

@Girlfolk yeah it’s defo a pregnancy test. It’s called an Alene HCG easy. It’s from the GP. They’re just the cheapest you can get hence the weird look. I did a digital and it’s negative. This is honestly about the 5th time I’ve had a false positive in my life.
