CB positive ovulation but negative dip test. Help!

Hi all, I’m looking for some advice please.

I’m 34 and we are ttc baby no. 2, but I’m worried about my cycles.

My cycles average 31 days but in the last few months I’ve had one at 25 days and one at 39 days. I’m using CB digitals and dip tests to track ovulation. I’ve tried temping before but my DD wakes so often in the night the results aren’t accurate.

On CD 16 this cycle I got a flashing smiley and CD17 a static smiley but no positive on the dip test and a tiny amount of EWCM. Last time I had such a small amount of EWCM was my 39 day cycle when I think I must not have ovulated.

I’ve been to the doctor who has said I’m early days (7-8 months of ttc) and isn’t worried as my cycles are mainly regular.

I’ve posted a pic of the dip opks. Is it likely the CB was right and I’ve missed my surge on the dip tests? So worried I’m not ovulating anymore.

Similar thing happened to me this month.
I did have a stronger line on the dip test on D14 so I did a clear blue and I was peak fertility
however the days before and after D14 the dip sticks were as yours are BUT clear blue was showing a smiley face

I am inclined to go with the digital CB as things like your urine being too diluted can affect the sticks

Glad to hear it’s not just me. Really hoping the CB was right! It’s horrible thinking you’re not ovulating. I keep toying with the idea of ordering one of those kits that tell you if you’ve definitely ovulated but they’re pricey and they will only confirm for that month.
