6 days late, BFN, mild cramps, tired and sore boobs

Hi ladies!

So I am really confused atm and going mad! I have had a regular cycle forever which is normally 30 days. This month I am 6 days late. We have been ttc for about 5 months now for our first. I have mild cramps which come and go, slight white discharge and since the last 2 days my boobs are getting sore too. I am 35. I took a pregnancy test 3 days ago and I felt is was a faint bfp but since then I keep getting BFN. But still no sign of af. This ever happened to anyone before? I am a bit worried. Anyone ever got a bfp later on?

Hello! Is this your most recent test or the one from 2 days ago? It might be line eyes but I feel like I can see a faint line - especially near the top of the window! Have you tried a first response test?

That test was the one I did 3 days ago. I've done first response, clear blue early and digital-all negative :-l. Really tried hard to spot a line but me and my husband couldn't see anything. So strange. Only thing I can think is if it's a faulty test. But then why is my period late!!

Give it another week then go to your GP. They need to exclude an ectopic pregnancy.

Meh. Yeh I read about that. It is what it is I guess. I never thought getting pregnant would be so hard tbh

the stress of wondering if you’re pregnant can delay your period. It’s happened to me before. Late period and negative test (periods usually like clockwork). Period came eventually.

The only thing is this cycle we were the least stressed about it as we were busy painting the house lol. We had written off this cycle anyway as I was ill with what we think could be covid. I just find it so weird that I had what looked like a faint positive and now literally no sign. Never happened before. But I reckon the stress currently of being late probably isn't helping bring af on. I am planning on giving it another week though if still no period will be going docs. Good opportunity to get a blood work up done anyway for fertility. How late was your period when it happened? Did you initially get a positive?

@CatchAButterfly I've never had a chemical before. Shouldn't my period have started by now since all preg tests are negative now?

Hey OP , covid and illness can also delay your period. I had the same last month and felt like
i was going mad! I spent a mini fortune on pregnancy tests.
Wait at least a week before testing again

Yeh I've got a draw full of tests I've bought in the last few days. My husband must think I am going crazy. Yeh I defo plan on waiting now. Apart of me wants to be hopeful but logically if I am well over due but testing negative I am not pregnant. Just really want af to come so we can start again!

It took me two weeks to get my period back, even thought I was testing negative that entire time.

I was over a week late. I remember feeling like I was going absolutely effing mad and found it difficult to accept that I wasn’t pregnant despite negative test. It was basically a long drawn out, amplified PMS and I just wanted to break things. Similar deelimg/frustration to being constipated. Only difference to you is I never had a positive before that, but sounds like you’re not even sure that was a positive? If the pic you posted is the one you think was positive, I don’t think there’s a line there I’m afraid. I’m sorry love. X

Thanks everyone for the support. I actually just came started AF! Although we want to be pregnant I am so glad it started. The not knowing was killllling me. If I am a week late again I'll be going to my GP though. Baby dust to all x
