That looks positive to me.

8dpo is very early to be testing anyway.

Get a FRER and test at 12dpo. Good luck!

I only have 25 days cycles so I’m due on my period Friday so when should I test?

OP posts:
LimeEagle · 12/02/2024 18:48

Take it from 10 DPO earliest. Implantation can happen anywhere between 6-12 DPO and you won’t test positive until after implantation. This is regardless of your cycle length x

I just don’t understand how I just had a positive now negatives. Feel really upsef

Have you been trying for very long?

Have you been trying for very long?

Since July. I just always thought it would be so easy I’m drained

OP posts:
Rosesanddaisies1 · 12/02/2024 19:19

Sorry but it’s very unlikely to get a positive at 8 dpo. I always wait until day of my period. Since July really isn’t that long, a year is common.

laurenn26 · 12/02/2024 19:24

Doesn’t make my feelings invalid

Testing early is soul destroying best to wait til missed period as then there is no second guessing things. Really hard when trying but it’s kinder to yourself so you just have a definite yes or no x hope you get your positive soon

TheBeeb · 12/02/2024 19:32

TTC can really take it out of you emotionally. Took us a full year both times, nothing wrong with either of us as we had all the tests. Up to a year is completely normal, you only have something like a 20% chance of getting pregnant every month even if things are timed perfectly.

I never got a positive test til 13 dpo both pregnancies, 8dpo is pretty early which is why you will have got different results... urine concentration and time of day and length of hold all makes a big difference. I found that testing in the afternoon was better for me rather than first morning urine.

Good luck, I really do hope it happens soon for you cause it really is soul destroying!

HansBanans · 12/02/2024 19:33

If you're 8dpo today then you won't have very high levels of hcg yet. So if you did the first test with a decent urine hold you may have had enough hcg in your system to detect a positive, but then when you've done another one you might not have held your urine long enough (so the levels of hcg in that sample would be lower) which could give you a negative, if that makes sense?

Try again in a few days with your first wee of the day. Good luck x

laurenn26 · 12/02/2024 19:34

Thanks everyone I appreciate so much. I can’t even get to 13dpo as I’d be due on period. It’s all so stressful xxx

OP posts:
HansBanans · 12/02/2024 19:35

That should have said "enough hcg in your sample", not your system 🙈

What do you think of the clear blue? Xxx

OP posts:
HansBanans · 12/02/2024 19:38

@laurenn26 I can see a slight line, but clear blue are notorious for evaps and indents. Much better with a pink dye test x

TheShellBeach · 12/02/2024 19:40

Okay, so your period is due on Friday. Test on Thursday then.

Your Clear Blue looks like it might have the beginning of a line.

FlamingoFloss · 12/02/2024 19:40

I would say your are pregnant. 2 diffent tests with lines x

I also think it's likely.
Fingers crossed for you, OP!

Dogzombie · 12/02/2024 20:32

I know how soul destroying this is. It took us 7 years to have DD.
my advice (I learnt the hard way!) is to only test the day you are due your period. It’s so upsetting otherwise.
please don’t worry I’m sure it will happen for you xx

mnlkjpo24 · 12/02/2024 20:34

That looks like a very clear positive result to me.

The only thing you can do is buy a few different branded tests and continue to test preferably with FMU. I would try not to obsess over it, especially before AF is even due. Or even go to your GP and request a blood test.

Wishing you the best of luck 💐

Keha · 12/02/2024 22:02

Hiya OP, I always test super early and tend to get a very, very faint line initially. The difference could be due to the amount of time you've held your urine for and how dilute it is. The sensible thing is to wait a few days but my experience has been that if I've seen a very faint line, then test next day with FMU I have always had a definite (although still faint) line. If you can't wait, make sure you use FMU tomorrow and you might get a clearer answer.
