Is this an ovulation peak? Levels marked as low but looks darker to me

Hi,

This is my first time tracking ovulation with tests. Is this a peak on day 14? My app is marking it as ‘low’ but it looks darker to me. I think I usually ovulate around CD15/16.

Does it need to be a lot darker than that?

I can’t really do BBT because my toddler is a terrible sleeper so I don’t usually get a solid block of sleep at the same time.

Thanks!

For lh strips a peak will be when the test line is darker than the control line so these aren't positive or peak just yet.

I get sudden peaks, often dipping right down to 0.1 then the next day it wooshes up to over 1.0 so maybe you will have the same!

You may be ovulating later than you think with a luteal phase of less than 14 days.

Definitely low still, keep testing though. Peak can be anywhere from 0.9+ and it will be very clear that left line is a lot darker

Thanks so much @itsLKtoday and @LimeEagle. is it possible to miss it when you test twice a day? I’ve had all the other signs of ovulation so would have expected to see it by now.

Will keep testing though!

Not likely to miss it if testing twice a day. You can have ovulation pains and EWCM for up to 5 days before ovulation so you might be getting close to peak x

I agree it's not likely that you'd miss it

There's been a few times I'm testing testing testing think "I'm Never going to get a peak! I've missed it!! Ive surely missed it!?" then when it shows up I see it clear as anything, completely unmistakable!

Keep going. It'll happen ❤️

I have been looking into this too and found this article which I found very useful as I have the same questions.
