@Peonies94 it’s not really an exact science - sometimes temp rises straightaway after ovulation but sometimes it can take a day or two for the progesterone to kick in!

Prettypennies · 07/02/2024 18:54

Hi can I join? I am TTC baby no 2. Started in November and had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in Jan.Wwaiting for my AF to restart before trying again. Has anyone had experience of TTC after a MC?

ChyLL · 07/02/2024 21:07

Hey @Prettypennies im so sorry to to hear about your miscarriage, my heart goes out to you.

My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. I had the miscarriage in October 2020 and I got pregnant again in December 2020 and I now have a wonderful 2.5 year old from that pregnancy ♥️

xx

Peonies94 · 07/02/2024 21:13

@hopingforapeainapod ahh it’s so confusing! I wonder what it is that the app chooses that date? So confusing! My previous cycles have all identified ovulation day as the day my temps first rise! 🤦🏻‍♀️ so this confused me !

Peonies94 · 07/02/2024 21:16

Also using the two apps (the other is fertility friend? And they’ve said my ovulation day was the day I thought it was, but my other app is saying the day before! Il go with the latest date as I’ll probably cave and test at 10 DPO🤦🏻‍♀️

hopingforapeainapod · 07/02/2024 21:28

@Peonies94 yes I’m not sure why either! Tbh I’ve always preferred Fertility Friend and tend to go with that - never got on with OvuSense personally, and found my temperatures actually fluctuated way more with it and it was harder to establish a pattern. Do you use OPKs as well? Might be overboard to use both but might be useful in future to 100% confirm - but I would go with FF!

FullMoon1917 · 07/02/2024 22:56

@Peonies94 i am temping! I use natural cycles but also the premom app (below) natural cycles is a bit messed up as i havent had a period since my miscarriage so havent shown it. @Prettypennies in the same boat as you and looks (or felt like) i ovulated on Monday so just over 2 weeks since i passed the sac.

Has anyone got insomnia? Probably not helped that DH had wine last night and is snoring but been wide awake since 5 when usually i struggle to get up at 8. I think i had the same last time, but I am still only dpo3.

I also have gone from being obsessed with DH to being throughly unimpressed but again, could just be the snoring.

Peonies94 · 08/02/2024 12:31

@hopingforapeainapod yes I do usually use OPKs too! I didn’t this month as I was having 3 peaks but n one month and have regular cycles of not ovulating at all! Temping allows me to confirm the ovulation! Oh really? Did you use the bracelet or the vaginal version? I love my ovusense and definitely think it helped with patterns with my first pregnancy! I guess everyone is different though! Fertility friend is saying I ovulated on the 4th, ovusense the 3rd and another app says the 2nd! It definitely helps when I usually use my OPKs and temping too, so will go back to that next month but after having 3 cycles of no peak/temp rise I kind of gave up on it all this month, just typical it’s the first month it looks like it happened!

Peonies94 · 08/02/2024 12:35

@FullMoon1917 what’s the two lines on your chart mean? I’m not sure how to read yours! My temperature has dropped a little now, so we’ll see what happens 🤞🏻🤞🏻!

ahh it’s horrible when it’s the only thing on your mind and your just hyper aware of everything! My sleep was terrible when ttc baby number 1! It just seemed to get worse as the months went on

hows everyone doing? I’m about 4DPO today! That’s what I’m going with anyway! Could be any amount really!!

FullMoon1917 · 08/02/2024 12:45

@Peonies94 the blue line is my BBT and the pink is my LH level, the premom app scans them and comes up with a number!

I just need to get my mind off all of these but i spent an hour this morning going through all my fitbit data from last time trying to see a pattern 😅

Peonies94 · 08/02/2024 12:47

@FullMoon1917 doing this is the worse isn’t it? These two weeks are honestly torture! 😫

Peonies94 · 08/02/2024 12:48

@FullMoon1917 looks like you covered it well anyways! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

hopingforapeainapod · 08/02/2024 17:12

@Peonies94 I had the bracelet version and tbh maybe I should have persevered more with it (I have heard the internal sensor is more reliable / accurate) - I just found it a bit more of a faff to remember to wear it / take it off everyday and found my temperatures seemed to fluctuate wildly. I also think the Fertility Friend app is a bit more user friendly and I like the analysis features / being able to look at other charts! But I’ve always been very lucky that I have an obvious / reliable LH surge on OPKs so everyone is different! I agree though not knowing exactly where you are makes the countdown sooo much worse! I had a HCG trigger a week ago and they told me I would ovulate on Saturday morning, but my temp went up on Saturday morning and so FF is saying I ovulated on Friday so I don’t know whether I’m 5 or 6dpo! Really hoping 6dpo just to make the TWW that tiny bit shorter 😂

Peonies94 · 08/02/2024 17:21

@hopingforapeainapod ahh okay I have the vaginal one and my charts are usually pretty clear, like this, however this month I’m not sure what is happening! Yes that’s good! I have cycles which can last any time from 28-70+ days, so I do find the OPK’s are sometimes up and down with no idea which ones are clear, but my temps are usually a lot more clear! I use to just use a normal themometor and would always wake and walk around before remembering! So this way it doesn’t matter if I do that, so that’s what works for me! Yes I use FF to record all other data including my temps and find them really useful too! Ahh yes 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you ! The. TWW is so long, isn’t it!

Chairwoman · 08/02/2024 18:09

First month 3dpo today and my husband has just been told they are shutting his workplace. Awful, awful timing! Feeling quick shocked and absolutely gutted and tbh if I’m not pregnant, we probably won’t be trying again. Bittersweet. Just needed to share as totally overwhelmed and obviously haven’t told anyone we were thinking about another child!

Peonies94 · 08/02/2024 18:27

@Chairwoman oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that! Such a rubbish time for you! Thinking of you and the family!😫

Alh96 · 09/02/2024 07:12

Please can someone tell me I’m not seeing things :( I’m currently 10DPO and I’m so scared that these are not the BFP I’m hoping for. Vvfl or indent?

Peonies94 · 09/02/2024 07:58

@Alh96 they look very positive to me! I’d confirm with a FRER and a clear blue digital in a couple of days, but I’d say that’s positive! How many DPO are you? Good luck 😊

Alh96 · 09/02/2024 08:00

@Peonies94 im 10DPO and wasn’t expecting anything at all. I had spotting 2 days ago which was odd for me, but i had spotting last month when i was adamant i was pregnant, but got negative. I’m due AF next Tuesday.

FullMoon1917 · 09/02/2024 11:21

@Alh96 looks positive to me! Congratulations so exciting!!!!!

Chairwoman · 09/02/2024 18:36

What’s the earliest you are resting? 4dpo - I have a load of those cheap ones so not spending lots of money on them. Has anyone tested from 7dpo?

Starrysky812 · 10/02/2024 09:12

@Chairwoman I think 7dpo might be too early as implantation happens usually 6-10dpo. However I've definitely been known to not wait that long! So if you have lots of cheap tests and want to give it a try, then go for it! I'm trying my best to hold off till next Wednesday (due AF on Friday so will be 12dpo by Wednesday).

I've still been having intermittent twinges and lower backache from time to time since 3dpo. I often get this each month with AF so I'm sure I'm out. However I do know that some women have twinges or cramps throughout TWW and go on to have BFP. What do you reckon ladies? My body just gearing up for AF or am I still in with a chance? 🤞❤️

ChyLL · 10/02/2024 10:26

@Chairwoman definitely still in for a chance! I’ve been told by my fertility clinic that it’s completely normal to have cramping etc during your TWW and a positive test.. hopefully a positive sign for us both 🤞🏼♥️

Starrysky812 · 10/02/2024 12:09

@ChyLL hope so! How many dpo are you? When are you planning to test?
