TTC after Ectopic Surgery

Hello ladies 👋🏼 Some of you may know me from a few other posts at the beginning of the year ✨

Quick backstory; TTC second baby, we had a MMC in October last year which resulted in D&C management 😔 I then fell pregnant at the beginning of this year and found out a couple weeks ago that it was an Ectopic in my right tube which ruptured, I had to have it removed 🤢

Fast forward to today, I am 18 days post op and have been trying to track my ovulation through my OPK's which I've always used 🙏🏼 We aren't planning to try again straight away as I know it's not advised (We had 3 doctors tell us we can try as soon as we are ready, 2 doctors said to wait 2 months) 🤷🏻‍♀️

So I've just got a positive OPK today. Will that mean I should get my period in roughly 14 days? I had 28-29 day cycles before, but I'm having a 'blank moment' 🙈

Also would love to hear of any positive pregnancy's after an ectopic tube removal... as you can imagine I was nervous wreck after our miscarriage last year with this pregnancy 😩 let alone the next time around 😮‍💨🥴

I’m really sorry for your loss.

We had three losses between our first and second babies, the third of which was an ectopic (I also lost a tube).

I was told that I just needed to wait a cycle. We ended up waiting a little longer as I nearly died and my husband wasn’t sure he wanted to risk going through that again.

I was desperate to start as soon as possible, but in hindsight having a bit of a breather was good as it gave me some time to process everything and to physically recover (I was very anaemic for a while afterwards). But we did then go on to have our second bashy little boy.

You’ll know what is the right approach for you. Wishing you all the best 💐

I have a close friend who has conceived multiple times since having a fallopian tube removed. Of course that does little to alleviate the agony to an ectopic, but hope that’s same for you.

i would estimate period is due in circa 2weeks too

@ReetPetity @Outliers Hey ladies 👋🏼 sorry I'm not sure how I missed these replies! Thank you both for commenting 🙏🏼

@ReetPetity I am so sorry for what you have been through as well, life bloody sucks sometimes 🙏🏼 But I'm glad you got your rainbows 🌈 Oh Lord I know that feeling, I didn't really believe how serious it was until after everything happened and I had time to process 😔

I'm glad to hear of these positive stories it gives us faith for the future 🙏🏼 ✨ 🌈
