Spotting before miscarriage

How long did you spot for before you fully passed the pregnancy. 2 days ago I went to the toilet in the morning and there was one small clot and brown bleeding. Through the day it was light spotting barely anything on the pad. Next day brown spotting continued but a bit more on the pad and a couple drops in the toilet every time I went and it looks like coffee grounds. Today it’s still light but turned red. I have no cramps and I’m really hoping it passes naturally rather than having medical management. Baby passed about a week ago measuring around 6 weeks.

Hi @emmatcc1 have you taken another test to check the line? I would as It could not be a miscarriage. I’ve had 1 miscarriage and had bad cramps, the bleeding it was about 12-16 hours since it started to it passing through. I’m now 9w 1d pregnant with a new pregnancy and I’ve had spotting, bleeding, clots with no cramps and baby is fine. I have been prescribed progesterone to help so call your EPU maybe and explain, ask for an early scan and progesterone especially since you miscarried before. Hope this helps, obviously every person is different xx

Oh my goodness my brain isn’t working so sorry!!!

Unfortunately it can sometimes take a while OP, keep in touch with EPU so they can make a plan which can hopefully avoid medical management, but still ensure you're OK, physically anyways.

With my second misscarrige it took 4 days of brown spotting before i started to bleed properly. I hope you’re ok OP & sending love. Take care of yourself x

@emmatcc1 mine progressed relatively quickly. Had a small amount of bleeding on the Monday, all the major parts passed Tuesday afternoon and essentially had a 7 day period after that.

Sounds like things are starting but do keep in touch with EPU. Sorry you're going through this - for what it's worth I've just had surgical management for my 2nd miscarriage and it went smoothly (as far as I know 12 days on!) X

It was 3 weeks for me, I'm afraid... I actually thought I was 'all done' after two weeks of heavy bleeding and I declined the second scan from EPU. Then passed the pregnancy in full at home (thank God) about 5 days later, with more mass than I had realised would be the case. So do stay in touch with EPU. Sending love xx

@1111hope It’s a confirmed missed miscarriage. By dates I should be 10weeks tomorrow but measured behind on the first scan so from the start there wasn’t much hope and the pregnancy stopped growing about two days after the first scan.

I had more bleeding this evening so it’s progressing. I’ve been in bed most of the day and I later figured I should be up and walking around as there is more tissue than actual blood and it’s getting stuck inside if I lay too much. I’ve also had some cramps but not for long.
All of my pregnancy symptoms have went away except for sore nipples.

@1111hope No worries, I know how pregnancy brain can be. First weeks I was forgetting things in a minute and completely misreading everything.

I think it’s over. I was expecting lots of clots and bleeding and cramping. Is it possible I passed everything with little bleeding and no clots. There weren’t blood clots that are usually present with af but it was more dry stingy tissue that was dark red almost black. I had cramping Monday evening and yesterday evening. Bleeding was less than the most heaviest af day. Now my sore nipples are gone and I think bleeding has slowed down.
