Can anyone help me out and explain the difference between all the ovulation kits avilable? I know there is Clear Blue digitial, and Persona and other things but I don't understand the difference. Sometimes you seem to pee on a stick and sometimes you take your temperature? Sorry to be thick about it but I'm really confused by it all. Would appreciate some advice!

The first thing you need to consider here is what your periods are like. If periods are irregular in nature both of the methods you mentioned are not worth doing. You are better off in such circumstances having a blood test done to see what your hormone levels are like.

Both methods are not without their problems and can cause stress.

Oh thanks everyone - sorry - went out last night and had no time to check back. My periods are generally pretty regular although still settling down after a miscarriage in Jan.

Mammatulip - I have never even heard you could test saliva - how fascinating. Isn't it amazing what your body does?! I'll definitely look into that one.

What does the P stand for in OPK then?

I just get a mixed batch of 25 from ebay each month.

I get 20 Ovulation sticks and 5 pregnancy tests.

They show up ovulation great, i would recommend testing twice daily though to catch the surge.

But they are obly about £6 for the lot on ebay, seller 'fertilityplanner'

And they are cheap so you can do 2 a day without it costing loads!
