Hiya All.
I'm just wondering if you could help me out.
Me and my partner are trying to conceive and I'm trying to pin point when I'm ovulating. I've never had lines so dark on these tests. This is the first month I've tracked BBT. Where do you think I am in my cycle. Any help and advise would be so welcomed.
Thanks in advance.

I would test again tonight I think you might get your surge. If it carries on dropping then cd11 would probably have been it xx I'm not expert tho haha good luck xx

shoegirl36 · 01/02/2024 20:27

@Jadeypie just done another test and it's slightly lower, if it continues to drop then I'll guess the same for either cd 10 or 11 but I'm not sure when it would be if tomorrow mornings test is high again. And I'm useless with bbt, this is my first month tracking.

How long are your cycles? I hate opks haha I actually got my first ever peak this month the test line was so dark compared to the control line.(everyone's different) I know sometimes you can get a few highs and lows before a full peak just your body gearing up. If it's your first month doing opk I would just keep testing so you get a idea how your lh fluctuates xx

@Jadeypie I'm on medication now and they are usually around 31 days. I'm just playing it by ear so to speak.

It's so frustrating all this tracking!! I wing it also ha Hopefully it's either happened or about too xx

shoegirl36 · 01/02/2024 20:55

@Jadeypie honestly I am forever asking questions about one thing or the other in the forums but I'll ask because I'll hopefully learn something one day lol.. who knew it'd be so hard to have a child, they make it look so easy growing up and in the movies

@shoegirl36 ohhh you learn alot about the female body when ttc haha xx

shoegirl36 · 02/02/2024 10:23

@Jadeypie omg totally, things I didn't even realise the body could do, and especially what medications do what and finding alternatives that aren't prescription based. How far along on your TTC journey are you if you don't mind me asking?

@shoegirl36 it's all just madness and stress. I'm a year now after a loss last January. Already have a ds whose nearly three. I e just been diagnosed pcos and they have gave me metformin to try but I havnt took it yet. I've been taking a multi vitimin and actually ovulated this month for the first time in months so I'm hoping this is the month. How long have u been trying? X

shoegirl36 · 02/02/2024 14:57

@Jadeypie I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost a child in Sept 2021 but it was not with my current partner. Me and my partner have been together since late 2021 and we have never used protection since meeting but only just started actively trying this year. I was diagnosed with PCOS many years ago and they tried me on Metformin then slow release Metformin but it didn't go well tbh, I'm not saying it'll be the same for you at all but it gave me terrible gastro side effects. I did so much research and apparently this thing called myo and d inositol does what Metformin does but with none of the side effects and it is a non prescription pill. Could be worth looking into if this is something you haven't tried.

I think we may have ovulated at the same time. I had intense pain that lasted from about 5pm on the 31st to the evening of the 1st. Since then just cramps and twinges as well occasional sensitivity of nips.

@shoegirl36 aww I'm sorry to hear about your loss too! I didn't realise how many women was in the same boat as me untill I started opening up. I've been reading about those tablets aswell, just seems like loads of information from here there and everywhere 😳 haha. It took me a long long time to concieve my ds. How are you doing? What dpo are you? Xx

@Brianna4kd I got terrible ovulation pain and a high peak like yours. I'm 7dpo today and I was up last night at 1am with terrible period pains all seems fine this morning xx

shoegirl36 · 06/02/2024 09:07

@Jadeypie there are so many women in the same position, I'm the same I didn't realise. What's sad is the support out there for women like us is basically non existent. I remember I lost my first pregnancy in 21 and they basically just sent me home with a booklet on grief. There was no follow up for future pregnancy, no follow up for medication, no follow up for checking if there is something wrong with me. But tbh I've found it so much better just self diagnosing and self medicating to be honest. Now my body feels more like my own.

@Brianna4kd im not entirely sure when I ovulated as my peaks kept going and going until yesterday morning. Today's first LH test is significantly lower and my temp dropped by 0.1 of a degree. I've attached my charts for you to see. Maybe you'll know more about it than I do.
