Clear blue advanced digital OPK - please help!

I've started tracking ovulation. Last month I used cheap OPK and got no positives, so this month I invested in the clear blue advanced digital test kit with 20 tests (x2).

I have a 25 day cycle on average and started testing on cycle day 5.

Day 5 - low fertility (circle with no face)
Day 6-9 - high fertility (flashing smiley)
Day 10 - peak fertility (static smiley)

I was absolutely thrilled and relieved when I woke up this morning, tested and had a static smiley. However...I then decided to try a cheap test and still didn't show a positive. Worried that the clear blue advanced test had given a false positive, I opened the second clear blue advanced test kit and did 2x further tests which came back as low fertility (circle with no face).

I'm now feeling confused and a bit stressed. Can anyone help? How can one clear blue advanced test show peak and the other show low? I am new to this so please be gentle.

On your first time using the clearblue advanced it will always give you a blank circle x

Thanks so much for replying. I didn't know that! I tested using the second kit at 9am and again at 12pm and both were ~low fertility. Do you think that's just as it's the first day using this kit?

The first kit said peak fertility at 8:30am this morning.

I don't like the ClearBlue digital - they have missed my ovulation in the past. And I know for certain they missed it as I was having fertility treatment and a scan could see I was ovulating but CB just had a blank circle. Luckily I was also using the cheapy strips which did pick it up.

I've always found the cheap strips much more reliable as you can see for yourself the line progression so you know when it gets darker and peaks (plus it'll save you a fortune, if like me you end up TCC for a year or more!)

Thanks for replying! I was using cheapies but struggled to see progression in how dark the strips got.

I've had hit and miss luck with the CB digital tracker, but much better success with the CB monitor. It's more expensive, but I find it much easier to keep track of and more accurate. I got mine off eBay for less than half price and it came with a box of unused sticks as well.

I used the E@H strips, the monitor and the tracker this month and used them all to determine the actual peak day. It was a lot of effort but gave definite results.

Thanks for replying! I might invest on your recommendation!

I'm not actually trying yet but wanted to start tracking and then had a shock when I got no positives last month. It really worried and stressed me.

So far today I've had a positive from CB advanced with a static smiley. That was this morning. Then I've had these two cheap tests (one AM and one PM) ...

I don't think there's much more I can do this month so just going to be grateful for the positive CB test and try to stop stressing! All advice welcome though Smile
