OPK - Clearblue

Hi All,

I am awaiting AF after 3 negatives by CD31 so looking to start using OPKs next cycle. I already have some Easy @ Home ones but I'm thinking of getting the Clearblue digital. Does anyone know if you can buy the test strips separately or do you need a new reader after each batch?

I have already download the premom app which is brill. I have always used a basic period tracker (for 6 years) but spent some time inputting all my AFs into premom and can't wait to start using it.

Any help or advice on OPKs would be great x x

Pretty sure every box of the digital ones comes with a new holder and you can't just buy the sticks on their own, but you can keep using the same holder until it tells you not to use it again (when you read the instructions you'll see there's an icon that appears on the screen if you need to stop using it).

The thing I've found really useful is using the cheap OPK strips for daily/more frequent testing as peak approaches, then the digital ones when I know I'm approaching peak - means not getting through as many digital tests in a month when they are so expensive! Wouldn't work with an irregular cycle but once you know what your cycle is like it's a good way of getting maximum use out of the digital tests, and gives extra assurance that you're catching the peak by using both types of test.

That's great, I thought as much. Yes, I have very irregular cycles so I do think the cheaper ones will be best for now. Thank you for your help x
