Hi guys, was hoping for some advice please or to know of anyone else who might be in this position, as I'm quite perplexed!
I have PCOS and am in my late 20's, and we have been TTC for over 2 years now. I have had 4 cycles of clomid 100mg so far which was shown to be a good dose for me at my USS scan producing 2 large follicles.
My first 2 cycles seemed to work well, but with my 3rd cycle my period was delayed by 2 weeks, so on my 4th cycle I had another USS to check what was going on

I just had my scan today and surprisingly, it seemed the clomid 100mg has started to give me too many follicles! Was told I had 3 big ones today and 1 with the potential of growing, so advised not to have intercourse this month, which has really gotten me down. I am awaiting a consultant appointment which may be in over a month, so they can advise me as to what to do.. not sure why they couldnt just advise me to trial a small dose next cycle like 50mg or 75mg rather than having to wait such a long time to speak to the consultant..

Has this ever happened to anyone where a dose was working but then seemed to work too much?

I am also in 2 minds about whether to still try this month.. even if it is a multiple pregnancy I think I would be ready for that. Its just been such a long journey and to wait even longer is quite upsetting, and I also just had the scan today to make sure it was working, and was quite close to cancelling when my period ended up coming!

Any advice or thoughts would be helpful! Should I just try to get pregnant this month?!
